This mod didn't work the way it was supposed to.

I installed the 1% version, switched it on and found out with TES5Edit that there were no conflicts.

Then I ran a test game. I increased my level to 85. Then I tried running. The running speed seemed the same as before.

To make sure, I ran from one end of Ivarstead to another at level 1 and at level 85. The time was almost the same (35.14 sec vs 34.17 sec).

At level 85, the command player.getav speedmult returned the value 105.00.

Then I set speedmult manually to 200. Again, the running speed was as usual. After approximately 30 seconds, though, I began to run clearly faster.

What might be the reason why this mod failed to increase the running speed to 185?

Could it be that it increases speedmult by 1 each time I go up a level, so when I advance multiple levels at once, the speedmult is still increased only by 1?

First sorry for my english i m not very good ill try to be comprehensive!!

Thanks for this mod! I m using 0,25 and it works perfectly IF :
you lvl up each time...I mean i m lvl 1 i m lvlUP and chose direct Health or Magicka or Stamina, it s ok i get 0,25% added to my speed.
But if i lvlUP and don t use it (cause i m lvl 5 and don t want to be lvl 6 right now) when i go on lvl Screen if i lvlv 5 time cause i ve made lot of training, i ll get 0,25% too for 5 lvl in a row..

Personnaly i don t care since i noticed that i lvl up each time..
    Just wanted to know that!

    Thanx again

I also missed that feature, in which you can run faster as you level up in Oblivion! the perk or skill was called Steed! I believe it was, thanks for bringing it back to Skyrim! will come back and endorse!

Steed was the birthsign you could pick at the start which gave you +20 points to speed, the skill that increased your run/swim speed was called Athletics, unfortunately they had to take it out when they made Skyrim because reasooooooons.

One idea, i don't know if you are going to try that.
For people who uses mods as Uncapper (like me), you could put a limit, for example, your speed may go until twice or three times the normal speed, after that, you can't go any faster.

This sounds like a great idea as in allow your mod to function at whatever percentage you have downloaded, but be able to choose a point to stop all future speed upgrades.

I use Skyrim Community Uncapper - Originally created by Elys and this of course allows you to adjust quite a few different leveling options, up to and including the max level to be whatever you wish.

Personally, there are bits I wish I could just disable, as in I see no real reason to have a player level above 400 BUT if you wish to get all possible perks added in, and have nearly unlimited carrying capacity, then you are forced to level above whatever levels the game was originally designed for.

Yes, that may be considered cheating, oh well, that's life.

Regardless, if you could possibly provide an option to STOP the auto-speed adjustment at a certain point, preferably configurable, but even if you just set it to a max of 1.0 as you state the max is already defined in the game engine. I don't think I have my character quite that fast, but I have tried other mods out there for speed increase simply because I HATE wasting time walking at such a ridiculously slow walking speed as the game has defined. Even when I use the caps lock to force 'always run' the running speed is way too slow.

None of those are your issue or fault, but the idea of having choices is always better! As it stands, I can't really use this as the speed is way too much when over certain levels, and all of my current saves are with characters that are above 250 or so in level.

Thank you for taking the time to create and release this mod, even if I can't currently use it, the sharing is what makes the community better as a whole!

Didn't even know people were this high levels.. I myself have only gotten to like 70 or so before the bloat sets in. I will add some alternatives soon.

Nevertheless, I will satisfy peoples needs, I will upload a 0,25% and a 0,5% version as separate files.

Yes maybe that is a good idea.. Tying it to stamina only would effectively decrease the mods effect to 0,33%, which might be better for the balance.

I will upload some alternatives soon.

I would recommend decreasing the increase in speed on level up. 1% doesn't sound like a lot, but it actually is.

I very much agree. 1% really is a lot. Maybe .5 or .25 would seem more realistic. I remember in Morrowind I could jump across big rivers. It was fun but seemed a bit silly.
