Absolutely amazing my good friend. From day it bugged me how utterly meaningless and shitty the weight system was for blacksmith materials. This is the first mod to fix that problem without being to intrusive on the original design. Bethesda can learn from you.
2 little aspects i noticed could use an update if your still working on it however.
1. when you ask a blacksmith if they need help around the forge. the materials they give you to craft the hide helmet need to be increased to make it work.
2. when smelting iron ore in to iron ingots you should up the material cost to 2 iron ore. right now you turn 2 pounds of iron ore into a 3 pound ingot : ).
Hello sir, great mod. I love that smithing become rewarding with this change.
Although fact that you are carring in your inventory so many ingots is kinda immersion braking for me. Is there a possibility to make a mod which adds a place near forge which would store ingots for you. Not some simple chest but something with mechanic of bookshelf but for ingots. When you would activate and add ingots to it, ingots would form piles like in blacksmith in Solitude. Furthermore it would be awesome if the amount of ingots would be connected straight with the forge so you wouldn't have to have ingots in your inventory when you forge stuff.
I hope you understood what I mean because my english is bad.
I could make recipes only appear when you have the necessary items, however that would require I set up several hundred conditionals simply to make the items in the list vanish. I really would rather not do that. >.> It's not so bad, in my opinion. I mean the ones that you can't make are greyed out and the ones you can make are quite visible.
I'm not sure what you mean by combining recipes.... like making them in bulk. (That's not possible with the CK. It would require a new recipe for each possible count of the melt-able items. One recipe for 1 iron dagger, another for 2, another for 3......)
The smelting is a good thing, but is there any way you can make the smelting list less long, because it's already really long with just iron and steel....... :-(
Oh NOO!!! I started a new character and got the tutorial quest to craft an iron dagger. But Alvor only gave me 2 iron ingots!!! LOL. (B/C now it takes me 3 ingots to make one.)
Not sure if messing with the tutorial quest is worth it for such a small thing.
If i place HBE before SSCR : all the recipes appear from the smithing panel with your correct value of quantity and not only the first like HBE should. If i place SSCR before HBE : HBE works prefectly like it does but your value aren't active.

Is there a way to combine smelting "recipes" ?

Thanks for the mod.

If it's possible to make it compatible with HBE it will be heaven!
