Happy to find this. I'm just doing Dragonborn for the first time and I kept wandering off into the wilderness because I could barely see the path.
You should really clean this with TES5Edit and probably your other ash plug-in too. Deleting vanilla references instead of disabling them can lead to crashes
Nah, it´s a different concept. I´d rather combine the "More Nature on the Road" series and even this I don´t really want to do. I like keeping things separately, not just for easy update reason.
Just so you know.... Solstheim isn't a desert island. All that dust is ash and those roads aren't painted black, they're scorched from when Red Mountain, the volcano you can see off the coast exploded, burning down half the island and coating the southern half in ash.

I´ve not experienced any crashing though.
Merging your mods "Roads of Solstheim" with "More Ash on the Road" to combine and reduce your cool ideas to just one .esp file?
Cheers!

It's not a dig by the way. I do like your like your idea. The stones should be buried under layers of ash anyway.
The road can be burried under Ash with my other mod.
