I went to alter this for personal use, and I noticed you use BYOH (Hearthfires) ladder and trapdoor, but the mod is not dependent on Hearthfires.esm
That's illegal. You can't use DLC items without making DLC a master to the mod. Just a warning. You should either add HF as master or change the ladder and trapdoor.
A really good one. I especially like the bed placement - which is 100% Frostfall-friendly (close to the fireplace) so you wake up warm. I use it now on all my PTs as the first house you can afford early in the game. It really could use a couple of GS activators (like pantry at the top floor and potions in the basement), but I just use "craftable cloud storage" mod for that.
Come back updated to the newest version. I really liked the balcony exit but it started to get too luxurious. I prefer the old one but if possible with the balcony
Ever since I first saw the guard barracks by the front gate of the city, this is exactly what I've wanted. It's perfect for ANY character who doesn't mind basic, spartan housing (unless he has a family or an entourage to house.) It's not free, but anyone can afford it. Provides a discreet, private way in and out of the city, too. A possible variant of what another player has suggested: a couple more beds could be installed downstairs, making it more family-and follower-friendly. And one other thing I'd definitely recommend: a trapdoor that gives access to the roof.(I'm a firm believer that ALL houses with potentially usable roof space should have access to it.) This would dovetail neatly with the concept behind your wonderful Whiterun Shelter mod.
Hello! I could not help making this comment ... I ended up having luck downloading the 1st version of your MOD, and what had been amazing ... now was amazing! All new improvements are adopted, particularly as regards the removable wooden floor, hiding the safe. 's Idea was amazing!
You know ... just to translate your MOD to Portuguese-Br; and leave at your disposal if you want to post on your page as another language option.
Now ... if the idea is worth to new challenges ... and if you want to start new designs ... It would be really cool to have 2 more of these types of homes, in other strong cities - Solitude and Winterhold. Of course each with their physical feature its walls. Who knows, you do not present us with 2 more unbelievable MODs?
Are once again ... congratulations for this MOD. MRichieri.
I really like the location you've chosen for this house. It's right in the heart of Whiterun, yet out of the way enough that it works with all the popular mods that alter the town. It was a pleasant surprise to see that it even works with Ultimate Whiterun. The balcony gives a really nice view of the approach to town and offers another way in and out of the city for sneaky sorts. And I love the clear windows and the way you can see though the cracks in the floorboards to the floor below. That's a great touch.
A bit of constructive feedback if you're open to that. * Right now the home has more light sources than it can handle - if a couple of candles and the fireplace are lit there's a lot of flickering as a player looks around and moves through the space. I suggest that you reduce the amount of light sources, as there's a hard limit to how many you can have in a space without problems - I think it's 4 or 5. You can still have additional lit candles that are items/clutter in the home without designating them as light sources in the CK. * I understand why you added a room in order to accommodate a door out to the balcony and I really like the size of the home now, but the downstairs feels like it serves no purpose, since it essentially duplicates the fireplace and table/chairs setup in the floor above. I suggest moving the beds down there and replacing them with some food storage and clutter to make the area around the cookpot more of a kitchen. * As others have mentioned, adding enchant/alchemy to the home would be a real benefit, as they are really inconveniently located in Whiterun. I do like what you've done and will endorse. As I said, it's a great location with some special touches.

I like it.
The candle lights get WAY flickery shadow crazy when I turn some of them on....but its not dark enough that I'd need to anyway.
Thanks. Placement is perfect.
