Pretty rough around the edges. Doesn't match the beauty of her fallout counterpart by a long shot. I highly recommend making use of several mods, most notably the no more blocky faces, better females (no make-up, no shine) and ApachiiSkyHair.
Make them required. It would improve her look by leaps and bounds. Just my $0.02
Thanks. I never could get her look the same as her Fallout 3 equivalent. I am looking to see about putting her into Fallout 4 but time is the issue at the moment
good job, With NPC Editor could modify or create Creation kit with some follower with the same property as the gray-beards and make gray beards follower, it could work?
Just loaded 5.0, she looks great NeilUK02. The updated file fixed Facegen issues. Thanks for taking the time to mod this great Char of yours into Skyrim.
Ironically in my game her hair isn't the right colour :-) I just can't seem to get the creation kit or game to show normal brown hair. I change the colour in Creation Kit but just can't seem to get the colour to be how it needs to be. Still we battle on! Just noticed a bug in my game has crept into her dialogue, some of the recorded files seem to have gone which means her dialogue flashes on and off screen.
She's a tricky one our Brooke ;-) Maybe she prefers Megaton in The Wasteland ;-)
Hello, NeilUK02. I noticed an update on this in my tracked files and thought I'd see what's new. It's been about a year almost and it looks like I have missed a few changes with brooke. I am going to load your V7.0 and check her out. I am very interested in the comments so I'll be reading those also.
Good to see you , I've uploaded her to The Workshop recently and they spotted an issue where she was wandering off from the Tavern. They weren't meeting her until later in the game and I had always gone to Rorikstead very early. I have hopefully solved it by creating a new package just for her which should keep her inside
She was waiting at the Tavern when I arrived and I took her home for a photo-shoot. I was surprised when I see her hair color, lighting in Skyim can be odd but her hair looks almost silver in four images. I like the redguard look you have done. It appears a little more rugged than I am used to Brooke being, I suppose that is due to mods in my game that would affect her. I will send a new image.
Yeah I've got to say that Skyrim's Creation Kit is so frustrating sometimes, it seems every time I make an edit to her even in the other screens totally away from her look, it seems to change her look.
Her hair colour is a real frustration, I had her at one point having virtually the same colour as she did in FO3 but now it does look grey sometimes. It's weird but she just doesn't look like Brooke without the hair colour. I want her to look like she does in my avatar but it seems impossible.
I guess her different looks could be explained by the fact she is now in another world than before ;-)
In the image I posted today I had Fair Skin Complexion by HHaleyy active and RANs HeadMesh Variants by RAN46 possibly overwriten by Hhaleyy's mod. I believe that you might like ran's new head mesh if you are not already using it. Also of note is the male wig from Apachii SkyHair Wigs by EvenstarGW. I say that because the appearance of that hair in my inventory as a wig mean that there are other options for you to explore for hairs for a next update. Even though this hair is not Soya's hair it looks much like it. Slightly longer. Not as soft looking that is for sure.
I am hoping that the girl who was originally going to voice my FO3 and FNV Brooke will be available again soon and I'm going to ask if she'll do the voicing for Skyrim Brooke. Hopefully if she has time I can ask her to do the F03 and FNV as well but she's really busy so it may take time.
The request for help would be for when and if I get the voice files over can a modder offer me help to add the files to the Creation Kit? I've never done it before, I think I know what to do to get the voice to work but making it the right volume and doing lip syncing would be beyond me I think
I wish I could give her a custom body (TBD, CBBE ALSL Curvy, etc.) and armors instead of her using the default game body. Otherwise perfect as far as I can tell.
She shouldn't be using the default game body, she has her own , unless of course you have her body type as your default like I do. If you replace the body files in her meshes and textures folder her body will change
Thanks for the reply. I don't see where I can change the body. Only items in the meshes folder is facegendata and hair. Do I have to create a folder? If so what do I call it, "Brooke"?
Yeah sorry when I said she had her own body I was getting mixed up with my FO3 version of her. She is set to use the default body you have installed, in my game that's a big boobed version of CBBE using body slide.
She has her own folder in meshes so to change her body you would need to use the chosen body mesh files and put it in her folder. The file is the femaleupperbody mesh file from your chosen body mod.
Next update I will give her a body file of her own so people can just replace it with their chosen version without affecting the rest of the NPC's
She was always a redguard but the name change may help you, maybe you had the same issue I had with version 5. When I tried edit version 5 her look in game went unchanged until the esp name change
Still the same result. Grey face with brown hair in a bun. My game just will not display Brooke's face/hair properly period. I even deleted her facegen data in both meshes/textures folder, re-extracted said files, & still get the very same result. This is ridiculous. I have no idea what to do at this point period.
Tried that too. Still the same result. I have no idea why this is such an issue for me. I've done everything I can think of to try & fix this issue but so far, no luck period.
Only thing I can think of is following the same steps I did
First change the name of the plug in, then load it into CK and go into Brooke's character and click OK to exit again. Then do the CTRL F4 trick which will create the new facegen folders.
Then you will need nifskope to check if the texture address is correct in the facegen meshes. This is the step I got help from TheObstinateNoviceSmith with. It may just work without the need for nifskope though
But you will need to change the plug in name as I found that the CTRL trick didn't overwrite the files for me which is why I needed to change the filename
How do I go about changing the plug-in name? Also, I have Nifskope but have absolutely no idea how to use it period. Nifskope is also supposed to allow one to bind objects to body files but I have no idea how to do that either. I need to bind HDT Havok Object to femalebody_0.nif & femalebody_1.nif in order to fix a glitch associated with HDT Physics Extension that causes certain body parts to twitch/spasm out of control on both the PC & NPCs. It's an annoying bug that's been bugging me for quite some time. If you or anyone else out there knows how to do these things, please help me. Thanks.
I'm not the guy to help with nifskope I'll be honest, I had never used it until I created Brooke for Skyrim!
As for renaming that's as easy as simply right clicking in Windows Explorer and renaming the file. Then open the file with Creation Kit and do the CTRL F4 thing, it will then create a facegen folder in the name of your new plug in name. Also though the included SEQ files will also need to have it's esp file name changed

Thanks for the nice comments
She has her own folder in meshes so to change her body you would need to use the chosen body mesh files and put it in her folder. The file is the femaleupperbody mesh file from your chosen body mod.
Next update I will give her a body file of her own so people can just replace it with their chosen version without affecting the rest of the NPC's
Glad you like her
Thanks for the endorsement and thanks to everyone else , really means a lot when people take the time to do that
Deactivate her mod, load your save game, say yes to missing content. Save straight away and exit.
Re-activate and load the save
