Cool mod, thanks for it. It helped me through "The Way of the Voice" where due to a game bug the greybeards tried to attack me after every shout. That said, the effect didn't go away in 24 in game hours. Is it instead literally timed for 24 real world hours?
After leaving the throat of the world the dragonborn cultists insulted me, but didn't try to kill me. Then I visited Markarth for the first time and the guards didn't try to kill the murderer in the market. So... At this point I'd kind of like to shut off the aura so those quests can start up properly.
As such, is there a console command or something I can use to disable the aura?
Thanks for your reply. Yes you are correct, the time is 24 real world hours, not in-game hours. If you want a lighter version, perhaps consider the amulet or some of the short-lived spells?
Oh and i know its beta, but i saw that the circlet has no texture, i looked in the mesh but the path (textures/aura/) is not in the download. Maybe you forgot it or its intended!? ; )
Indeed! Thanks for the heads-up! New version uploaded. Even if it is beta, it doesn't mean anything should be broken. :/ I need to revise my release workflow...
Thank you for the feedback. Until the first stable release I will give the attacked opponents a few seconds to defend themselves. Attacking the undead creatures should not make you bleedout, instead possibly drain your mana a bit. I'll also fine-tune some of the visual effects, the spell mana costs (I'd like your feedback on this), make the Meridian circlet a bit harder to get and maybe add a new Dwemer artifact if I come up with a good idea and find a proper model for one.
Are there other ideas, especially considering gameplay, that you would like to me to add or change? Any other locations to sprinke some scrolls into? The scrolls and first level spellbook can be bought from several vendors, second level spellbook is in Wayward Pass. The higher level spellbooks can be found in Archmage's Quarters. All spellbooks are added to Illusion leveled lists and can be bought once you reach the required level.
However i only use your mod so i can test mods without fighting the whole time. So i give me the circlet only (per console) and wear it, thats all what i do with your mod : (, sry. Not that your mod is bad or something, its excellent, but i only needed this ability ; ). And therefore your mod is just perfect for me, works like it should and encountered no error while "playing" ; )
You're welcome. The best ability for you now is the Dovahkiin shout. This started out of the same reason that I can travel around without everything coming at me all the time. Even in Nethack you could roam the dungeons at low levels if you were careful. By request, I balanced the gameplay and sprinkled the effect around. The enchantments do not affect everyone and the spells complement drudish characters. You need to level up to about level 3 without enchanted magicka boosters to expore draugr dungeons. A few levels more and Dwarven mines are safe.
Version 0.85 beta is out! I improved my Quality Assurance process and tested the mod on a clean Data directory. Rest assured, the circlet texture is now in proper place! How embarrasing. I appreciate your patience with my shaky beta relases.
This version brings minor finetuning, and with the Merian circlet you experience no damage for putting undead to rest.
I'm not a big fan of the notifications either, and I wouldn't like to clutter the already crammed MCM menu anymore, so I'll silence the messages. Probably the best way is to make the weapon drop message to display only once, probably the aura messages too. It already is on SkyUI active effects HUD. It might be better to add a subtle visual cue instead.
That's an interesting idea. The mechanism for that would be very similar, and detecting player armor rating is simple enough. I know, why are those highway robbers coming at someone who clearly they cannot fight?
Indeed, what a good idea that your armor and clothing would change the dynamics whether npcs attack, stay neutral or flee from you. Also, you could disguise yourself with faction armor and go undetected among Forsworn, Imperials, Stormcloacks, bandits, vampires and necromancers.
Ah. The duration is set to 24 hours, so something else is prolonging it for you. I thought about making it longer than one day, but decided that one day is perfect. For shorter durations, there are other alternatives, and I might add a few variants more.

Would it be possible to add an option or something for the messages on the top left corner, to turn them off or something?
How about doing one that makes everything run away in fear? Me being the mighty dragonborn and all

I'll keep this on my TODO list of ideas.
Thanks anyway.
