Hey everyone. I've decided to leave the Skyrim modding scene. If anyone wants to take over one or all of my mods, please let me know by private message (I get email notified). Otherwise, all of my mods are distributed with full source code in the BSA file, so feel free to alter them as you wish.
THANK YOU for your Kudos, Endorsements, and kind words. Thanks especially for SHARING SCREENSHOTS of your work.
PROBLEMS? Please read this thread. Chances are there is a known solution, so a little reading can end your frustration. Also, I REALLY APPRECIATE peers helping others find answers.
I definitely use campfire. :O I don't think I use last seed. I also use Skyrim souls I just noticed that this sometimes will happen, especially if I accidently multiply press the select and deselect button on an object.
any plans for Special Edition import ? I would rly want this mod :D edit: never mind found it https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13090 and a fix for some stuff https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13298
When a mod doesn't show up in the MCM, that usually doesn't have anything to do with the mod. It's an issue with the MCM. It can take a long time for the MCM to register a newly installed mod and thus include its menu. The more mods you have, the more likely it is to happen.
Try this, when you start your save with a new mod with an MCM, Open the MCM menu and pick any one of the MCM mods and open it, then close it and the MCM menu. Within a minute the signal that a new MCM has registered will appear. It has never failed me.
I have used this mod for a very long time (years). Recently I started a new game and added this mod. It will not work properly. Instead of just sliding the object, I have to consistently press the arrow button to get it to move just a little bit and can no longer resize objects. I really wish someone was still monitoring this as it was a very essential part of the game for me.
you know theres a mod that reverts most of SkyUi's changes? SkyUI is pretty much mandatory for every mod that features any sort of custom Hud or customization.
Well...my opinion is the same as this guy's but for different reasons. The handling is much smoother than cobbs' positioner, much nicer, haven't had to deal with things getting 'lost' or moving on their own.
However...this mod exposes a bit of a problem (which I'm assuming is basegame) in that if objects get moved too far past where they are supposed to be, they stop rendering. But the part that REALLY got on my nerves? After moving some objects, I now find that every time I load a save in my house, my character keeps teleporting to a specific spot. Granted, simply using a save tool to remove anything jaxonz has in it fixes it...
You can set it to move further through the MCM menu. Severin manor was the only place I experienced the item disappearing. Also, did you mistakenly select your character instead of an object? That messes it up royally
Ok You don't like it fine. Also seems like you don't like SkyUI now thats a hilarious problem and why do you even bring it up here. For that matter why are you even modding games. For most people the the Interface is the first thing to go. Because for everyone but you the modded interface is much better. Also the fact that the MCM is there is one of the most needed mods in Skyrim. Because it allows you to go into the mods and configure them easily. The do you also hate SKSE? Just stop modding your game. Yes this mod is a little hard to do things with but its better than the 2 earliar mods that tried to do the same thing. Please go back to the contruction kit and redecorate things with that. Maybe your system will be better. Yuk yuk! Or since JAXZON is leaving Skyrim you can fix this mod till it works to your satisfaction. 25000 players have endorsed this mod including me. It took me a while to get used to it but now i use it a lot i have about 6 houses in game and the houses i use most is really fun to decorate them with this tool. Also after i got used to it I was able to change almost anything in the Game. I could save fireplaces Black smith tools resize npcs . And copy weapons and gear. Also if you locked down the area after you modded it things don't move around as much. But the strangest thing is you said was you would have to go back to a saved game so what people have gone back dozens or hundreds of times specially if they modded the 32 bit game. If minor things like going back bother you stay with the vanilla game. Skyrim is far from perfect and being killed and staring over is part of the game. cheers!
I understand the dislike for SkyUI though. I've been playing console a lot and I like the original UI more, it feels more fluent, if it makes sense. I even play with controller on PC. But refusing to use SkyUI-Away is just stubborn. It's the same guys who made SkyUI so it's 100% working the way it should. As mentioned above, trying to avoid SkyUI and MCM altogether is just making your modding harder and limited. I had the same attitude at first but then found SkyUI-Away and it's a godsent to controller players. On a side note, when I have to use mouse and keyboard for console commands etc. on PC, I just can't understand how anyone can use the original UI with them. :D

Items went missing, positions screwed up on reloading or reentering a building/environment
Handling is clunky and buggy
requires skyUI, which I personally find really ugly.
Overall a bad experience, will have to revert to old savefile.

SkyUI-Away
