    Hey everyone!

I switched over to SSE since it's release. I've been continuing modding there. This means that:
    A) No more updates with Oldrim in mind. Feel free to try new versions in Oldrim, but I can't guarantee it'll work.
    B) Downloads will be on the Skyrim SE Nexus, and no updates will follow here. New version is available there: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17768/

I probably still reply to questions here if I see them, but don't expect me to be around much on any Oldrim pages.

If you can do the female why can't you do the male?

EDIT: Went checking. You can't do male as easily because half the back of the armour has no mesh, so instead of just moving verticles up like here, you need to actual do some 3D modelling, which I never got working back in the day (well, exporting it to proper .nif, 3D modeling is fine in itself). There is an explanation in this thread: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1744511-vampire-royal-armor-remove-cape/

If I remember right (it's a long time since I was working on this), it could be done the same way, but I never play as male and I'm too lazy. Beside I like how it looks on NPC, just not on player character. Not to forget it does have problems with bending and sitting, which NPC's do a lot more.

Feel free to move up the verticles yourself in Outfit Studio.

Ahh I see, so what Deadspace1 described is unfixable it seems (just found out about it myself after trying it out).... Sorry but I cant use this mod as it is right now. That "clipping" issue or whatever, is too horrid to ignore. The only way I could possibly abide it is with the Lustmord Noir Cloak (jet black colour) which comes from the Lustmord Vampire Armor set mod - but there again, there is a colour difference which doesnt go with the silver royal armor from this mod; or a grey or black cloak from Cloaks of Skyrim mod but they obscure view from the back cos they are full body length. So there again, can't abide using it

I've tried a few royal armor retextures and the only one I like is Den987's Real Royal Vempire Armor retexture mod (caped version). The deep red just jumps out at you and there is no visible clipping issues, or if there are, the cape hides them completely.

a revision to my earlier comment, when your wearing the armor, it looks perfect if your standing still. but if you move in any way, the bottom of the shortened cape sways out in a weird way. looks very strange. if you dont know what im talking about, wear the armor and move around. you will see it immediately. if you can get it fixed, Ill totally endorse.

I am aware of this. To badly I can not ix it. The problem is the same as which makes the cape get long again when sitting down. The mesh si still attached to the lower body to move with it. I can only edit the shape of the mesh, as I do not know how to import or export with 3Ds Max. If I could do that, I could fix it, or even better, make a more neath version that actually deleted the unneeded polygons instead of moving them upwards, which would stop unwanted movement, make the armor a little bit better on performance, and makes it look just a bit better and more professional.

To badly I do not know how to do this properly. Every time I export something from Max, every piece of material will be one single almost glowing color, instead of showing the texture. I do not know how to fix it. It's not the regular missing texture bug.

the only problem i have is that when you move with the armor equipped, the edited cape sways unaturally. makes it look very strange. if you could fix that, I would totally endorse this mod

Would u mind designing capes for Vampires and Vampire Lord exactly like the cape that the Vampire in night flier movie had?

I don't know that movie really, but I googled ^^.
I tend to make my mods for private use and if they work correctly I upload them. Also it would be a hard one, as the mesh would have to go up next to the neck, making many clipping. I don't think it will happen by my hand. Maybe you can find a mod in parts (like Lustmord) and att the upper part of that there.

I don't use CBBE myself, but I did in the past. From what I know of the textures (and how I fixed them), they may actually still work with CBBE, depending on you're textures. Like if you use something clean like Navatsea's I think it works fine, but if you use Mature Skin texture WITH models, chances are (not certain trough) that a mole get spread over the breasts.

If you decide to try, could you report if it indeed works?

Thanks for your effort. This way I like the armour much better than with that static cape pinned to your back.

Oh.My.God. !! Someone actually did it ! I've been trying to get rid of the cape , but I'm not good at all with the modding tools, so I was waiting for someone else to do it.. Thanks for sharing ! Going to try it ASAP.

I know the feeling. I've been waiting for too long for this. I did attempt before but I failed badly when trying to use 3dsmax for it XD. When Bodyslide2 came out, it was like a new world opened to me. Sure its very limited comprised to 3dsmax, and sometimes when I export a mesh it moves itself making it look odd, but mostly it works greatly . Big thanks to Caliente for this mod too !

Woah, I just thought wtf?! Cause the small pic on the main page, right in the newest folder tab looked like there was Bert from the sesame street in it.

    Anyway thanks for the work!
