I have an idea that's two fold in nature.

The first part is for Legacy itself in the form of Atmoran artifacts. Thematically the artifacts could be spread around Skyrim and Solstheim (as well as possibly mod added areas, like Falskar, should the authors give their respective blessings) in small tombs and/or barrow mounds that are hidden off the beaten paths. Nice thing about this part is that it's easy enough to use the already available ancient nord and stahlrim items, though they are of better quality due to being encased in stahlrim as was practiced in the old traditions (possibly also have the requirement of needing an ancient nord pick axe to excavate them).

The second part is more of an alternate version of the Relic Hunter start for LAL that could tie in to the vanilla start. The character could start out in one of the tombs mentioned above, but occurring several decades, or even centuries, before the events of Skyrim only to trigger a trap of some sort that causes the nearby draugr to entomb the character in stahlrim but not dying as their latent Dragonborn places them into stasis instead. Fast forward to the character reawakening, either caused by Alduin's return or (if from older time period) as a result of the energies released during the Oblivion Crisis, the skeletal remains of an old friend/colleague nearby with a journal telling of how they spent the rest of their life trying to find you only to do so while at Death's door. After regaining their bearings, an artifact or two, and some gear, accordingly of lower quality due to passage of time and lack of preservation, the character will then leave the tomb and head to the nearest town, Helgen, only to find it burned to the ground with few clues other than the dark winged form flying away from the devastation.

That's basically all I have for the idea at present, though any further ideas I'll hold off on adding until after I get a yay or a nay from if you if it piques your interest. Thank you for your time and have a good day!

    Good Day All,
I have a few ideas for relics and artifacts, which I am still working on before I post. There is one excavation I have been thinking about that I though I'd share.
Its set in Red Mountain (but could be adapted to other Acts if it would fit better somewhere else). The excavation starts out normal-ish...sent out to find the ruins of this or the artifact of that...standard start. However, during the course of the excavation, you uncover a lost tribe of Ashlanders that escaped/are trapped underground. They have a small-ish yet fully functional village going...smaller than Blackreach size-wize.
Once there, after some awkward intros or being captured, you find they were saved from the eruption of Red Mountain by some Artifact or something (Deadric or not). You must decide whether to "liberate" said artifact, thus destroying the village, or collect fragments or items specific to their culture and form a good relationship with them. There could be an either/or display set up at the museum for afterwards.
I know its detail-lite, but I think, a quest like that would be interesting both story-wise and loot-wise.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.

Yesterday in the chat, RonnieMagnum said that he had some weapons waiting for a proper introduction in this mod : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51761/? Indeed, there is three swords and a shield... These could be useful for Odyssey ! In fact... Most of his mod could be used for legacy relics !

    A dwemer katana http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55934/?
    Oblivion's Grey Aegis http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76992/?
A really cool katana with dragon runes http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/83750/?

Also, I'd love to see an underwater city for an excavation ^^ ! Like, you found the city's ruins underwater and you get to explore it through it by swimming and also by walking in non-underwater sections... Overall, I think that would be an original addition to the mod, and something very different from the regular dungeon crawling experience

An idea from today's chat: Black Market in Senchal - need to obtain a relic either through paying an exuberant sum of money or use ledgerdemain/skulduggery (Hmm, maybe the Hand of Glory could come into play)

    As for relics...
    Spoiler:
    Show

    Khajiit relics:
    Skooma bubbler (hookah pipe)
    Ancient lamp (Arabian style lamp)
Ancient/Ceremonial Khajiit knife (based on the mezzaluna knife - Used IRL for mincing herbs, garlic, chopping salads...) - Used in preparation of the nightshade which is combined with moon sugar to create Skooma

    Yokudan relics:
Sigil of Satakal (Ouroboros snake, possibly a ring w/ an enchant similar to Summermyst's Siphon Health/Magicka/Stamina)
    Ruptga's Staff (Nabut/Naboot - rattan quarterstaff)
    Shamshir/Shotel? (Curved swords)

    Maormer:
    Snake totem

    Chimer/Dunmer:
Relics of St. Veloth (Crystal tear, Holy Vessel (water holder), reliquary (his skull and bones))
Spider Totem (Chimer used to worship the 3 Good Daedra before the battle which transformed them into Dunmer)

    Nede:
Nedic Calendar stone (similar to the Aztec calendar stone except with the constellations on it)

    Kothringi:
Shrunken head staff (Tribes in the Amazon rainforest are the only ones documented to actually have done this)

    Breton:
Grave Watcher idol/statue (ESO has this, and in fact this is based on real life ancient Breton belief in a grave watcher named Ankou)

    Saxhleel:
    Ancient Shadowscale Idol
