Just a heads-up to anyone that may be here looking for a Door Observer port; I was able to successfully port this to SSE, MCM and all. I will not be releasing it due to the fact that despite being a relatively simple mod, it does still belong to the original author, who appears to be inactive for the most part. However, I am happy to provide you with simple instructions as to how to port it successfully if you'd like to either message me or comment below :)
How in GODs NAME has nobody made a port of these mod... ESPESHALY the Door Observer mod... sins the last post here 2018... No one took the bsa file and tried to export the scripts and update them for SE version?!?!?... what on earth is actually going on... I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS QUESTION!!! ill be going to try to make a port for this and post it on Nexus as my first contribution, hope yall are alright with this! much love o/
I just stumbled across your immersion collection today, while looking for a "crafting takes time" mod. I gave the realtime crafting a try and I like it a lot so far. btw I actually really like all your mods i tried so far. especially the dovakiin relaxes too mod.. It's one of those mods that have been in my loadorder for centuries (even though I'm now using "PC Head Tracking and Voice Type" for greeting npcs). Also not to forget the marketstalls.. All those really add a lot to the immersion in the game.
Anyways.. what i actually wanted to say was, that i found some translation problems in the "Crafting Miscs" esp. At the tanning rack the text of the linen wrap and bloody rags can't be displayed as they are in a different language (missing fonts, using the english version here). I went into Tes5Edit and changed the name of the items back to the english name. Now they are displayed correctly again. Just thought i let you know, if you ever intend to update this mod again.
PS: Is it possible to somehow extend the realtime crafting to the smelter, armor workbench or grinding stones as well? Or would that lead to an immersion overload
I have added the Door Observer and it works however I have noticed several crashes even with a clean save since install, also I notice every time i load into the game it posts in the corner about Door observer being activated or something like that 2 messages drop. I'm not sure if that is working as intended or just a bug. I'm going to keep the mod because it works and I don't feel like clean saving again, however I would like to know if that is a bug, and if there is a way to fix it?
Two messages were somewhat intentional at the time of release, but I agree they are verbose now. I'll delete them at next possible update. As for crashes, I cannot tell much since I haven't experienced it. I'll keep it in mind.
Thanks! I look forward to the update on the messages. Also as far as the crashes go I think i'm good now, I downloaded a mod called safe start that seems to have fixed that problem, also Sofia the mod follower doesn't seem to want to close doors behind herself. It says she knows the spells in her spell list but she just doesn't use it on mine. Not really a problem though, just letting you know others might find a problem with that.
Ok, so I know this thread hasnt seen much action in a while, but on the off chance someone comes by, is there any way to change the texture of the knapsack chest in hardcore carriage? I use the frostfall backpack exclusively, and would like to replace the texture with that backpack.
Easy way is to replace meshes/clutter/containers/miscpouch.nif with preferable mesh file (not a texture file). By this all vanilla knapsack containers are changed to new model.
This is what i was exactly looking for! especially that crafting and cooking takes time I had been looking for it for a long time! and all I needed to do was check my download history!
Alright, well apparently you can't accept PM's either, so I'll just drop this here...
"Ugh, Nexus ate my message, so I'm keeping this one brief...
First off, thank you for Torch Off and Door Observer, they're both fantastic and exactly what I was looking for!
I'm probably going to make updates to Torch Off for my own use (try and improve performance, remove the ref deleting and restore objects on cell transitions, basic re-lighting system), would you be interested in these and/or opposed to a stand-alone version?
Also FYI a simple update if you ever update the mod, the LocTypeInn keyword (the 'Inn' one, might not be exactly that) isn't in your safe-list and plays hell with some mods / locations, might want to add it in
I like the mod, great job but I have my reasons for uninstalling. When I would craft it would do this animtion but somtimes I would forget and accidetnly press e real fast to tan another wolf pelt and it would freeze my game because it tried to do the animation. Still endorsing anyways since this is just a inconvince to me. I will be using the door part still though and craft menu of yours.
