Finally some good mod to increase difficulty which works.Even with enemies which I have added by other mods..And it works instantly, I can change the enemy's power at any time, no need to reset the cell or something....Thanks and endorse !
Not sure if anyone else has encountered this issue, but I find that this doesn't stick at the settings shown. I've had damage dealt by player set at 1 quicksaved and fired a dual cast fireball at a deer and not killed it. If I reload and tweak the damage up by 1.01 and then back to the original setting of 1.00 the same fireball kills the deer in one hit. I'm certain that this has happened on other attacks both from enemies and my own against them. Now I run a daft amount of mods and while this is last in the load order it could be any number of issues that cause it to not behave itself, but i thought I'd mention it to others. Not least of which because I tend to play in a ironman "you die you start a new character kind of style" (which really is my own masochistic problem) and it can be quite frustrating if your attacks will do .25% of their intended damage sometimes. All in all a fantastic mod and while it's not working for me currently, it is exactly what I was looking for in principle so thank you for making it.
I also have this problem with the settings. Maybe it's oversight. While it is annoying that they must be enabled whenever Skyrim is booted up, at least the settings stick in the MCM. All you have to do is click on the setting you wish to enable and hit enter. I find that this is more or less a non-issue since leveling up and finding better equipment can really change the difficulty quickly and drastically, enough that I find myself adjusting the difficulty a few times per play session.
I've confirmed the problem. User @Genebriss also told me how it can be solved and I´ll fix it tomorrow. I'm not sure if this broke at some point or I just never realized.
When you say the game needs to be set to Legendary to take effect, does that mean that you have to *keep* the game in Legendary mode? If so, are the variables in your mod applied before or after the Legendary variables (damage taken vs damage dealt)? Or does this "overwrite" the settings in that the variables will be the absolute values by which damage taken vs dealt, regardless of being Legendary difficulty?
In other words, would making the settings CPU Damage and Player Damage = 1.00, essentially be Adept difficulty? Just making sure. Otherwise, this could be a great addition! NPC AND the player dealing double damage can make fights extremely deadly!
Thank you very much. I love this mod. Everything works well.
I am using this with Combat Evolved by CrushBoss - difficulty on 4x damage by PC and 0.8x damage by player - and my gameplay is very challenging and interesting. Now I really have to be very careful.
What I would Like is Mod that makes fight last longer.
Here are my suggestions
- Enemy NPCs will do equal damage, No more overpowered difference in attack and armor. = Longer lasting fights. - Enemy NPCs will use tactics, potions, poisons, group coordination and change tactic as you change gear. just like players. so making it hard to tell the difference between player and NPC. - Enemy NPCs will be able to use any armor in the crafting menu and not just the leveled list. this way they will use armors added by mods.
You can already achieve the first point on your list tweaking the NPC damage. The other 2 points are interesting but I want my mod simple (and also I have no idea how to code something like that).
Isn't those parameters already covered by SkyTweaks? (not criticizing, really want to know) I really like mods that can potentially tweak Skyrim engine to something less senseless, like: Ones that make combat deadlier, regardless of level. No bullshits like surviving 4 hits with an axe. The AI creatures should not be able to do 14x damage and have 22x hit points just "because". They should use the same metrics.
You don't need to "support" all game difficulties. the mod just changes legendary to your pleasing because what is the purpose of changing them all if you are going to use just one? If you want to do the translation please contact me in a PM
All the mods out there that make combat more difficult or easier and this one kills them all in it's simplicity. No more beating away at NPCs for 5 minutes or vice versa, combat is quick and deadly.
absolutely aggree. why use dynamic difficulty or a difficulty preset chosen by the modder if you can do it yourself within 5 seconds with this mod. simple mods are always the best

May I use your work to create russian translation with support of all game's difficulties?
I promise to include your copyrights.
Thank you for a job!
