As with all my "Oldrim" mods, this one is abandoned. Use this mod if you want to, but there won't be any support or whatever for these files. If you want to update it, port it, include it in your own work, translate it or do whatever you like with it, you have my complete permission to do so.
This comment section now is closed, because I actually just don't read it any more anyway. If there is anything real important about the files on this page you want me to know, just send me a PM.
Dang it I just wanted to use FSP and Immersive music, but you left immersive music of last xD. Looks like I will need to do some tweaking. Thanks for this patch by the way, I was getting a headache over trying to decide which to use.
A new, 4.1 version of Fantasy Soundtrack Overhaul is being uploaded. Hopfully it will function with the current Compatability Patch with little or no changes required.
Changelog: Version 4.1
New installer with the optional combat music included
I will, however, I will do this only after the authors have released their work especially for the SE - which for most of them isn't the case yet. As this mod depends on their ESP files, I won't release anything until they have converted them to the new format (even if the oldrim esps are working with the sse). AFAIK only celtic music and musical lore have SSE editions out yet.
Nope, sorry. As I said, I made this primary for my myself. But feel free to just remove the Tracks from FSP with TES5Edit. There would me NULL records within the ESP file, but, like I said before, that shouldn't cause any problems.
Sorry for my long absence. It was real-life related and not really planed by me. Glad you guys came along nicely even without me. I appreciate the help
However, one or two things:
1. Crashes: This mod, even if I made a small mistake in one of the versions, should never ever result in crashes. However, what can and will result in crashes, are three things:
- Missing master files (this means, one or more esp files for the patch you have selected, is missing). You'll get a crash even before finishing the load of a savegame in this case
- Wrong versions. I called exact version numbers here for a reason, guys. You need exactly these! I know there are newer versions out for some of the mods and I know it is always tempting to update to the last version... but in this case, you simply can't. If there is a new version of one of the included mods released, you have to wait for me upgrading the patch. If you don't, the results can start with "not hearing the new music" cause the entries aren't in the ESP of the patch and end with "crashes" because the developer of the original mod has changed something in his file structure. So please, always wait with updating. And never, I mean NEVER, use the "replacer"-version (if offered) of any of the required mods.
- Wrong load order. I hope I have described fairly clear how the load order has to be. Without the esp files loaded in the correct order, you may - again - have different bad results, ranging from "silence" while playing, because the intended track can't be found up to crashes, if any of the required files are only loaded after the patch-esp.
2. I'm working on a new version right now. "Legends of Hope" is now out for good, finally. I hoped they would release another version without any copyright problems, but actually, they didn't. The new version will be supporting all the - as time of release - newest versions of: "Fantasy Soundtrack Project", "Symphonies Of Skyrim", "Celtic Music in Skyrim", "Musical Lore" and - new - Immersive Music No ETA yet, however, should be done this weekend or early next week
I recently found this and it looks really cool! I like the multiple options given for different combinations of music mods. I think it would be cool to have a FOMOD installer to select the combination of mods you want, but I'm not sure if that's possible or if you know how to make that work. Glad to see you're still active, keep up the great work. kudos!
Oh yeah, forgot to ask if this mod is redundant now: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68177/?
Since you're back and this other mod hasn't been updated since August 2015, should this mod be the more up-to-date one?
Right, this one here is actually more up-to-date (again) I didn't even know about the updated version until now...
I will look into the FOMOD installer thing if I find the time to do so. I originally intended to do it that way for the last version, but since there would be quite a bit scripting involved, I doesn't really feel it was worth the effort the learn that stuff in the end.
Hey man! Fantasy Soundtrack is coming out with version 3.0. I have both Legends of Hope and Symphonies of Skyrim so it would be great if you make them work together.
Since there's no more Legends of Hope, could you make it compatible with the new Fantasy Soundtrack for people who's still having legends of hope (optional). If not, could you show me how to uninstall legends of hope so I can use your future newest mod with Fantasy Soundtrack version 3.0?
I read and already downloaded the new version of FSP, but I hadn't the time to test it out yet. But there is a new version for making it compatible with SoS (and possible "Celtic Music for Skyrim" and Musical Lore ) coming soon.
As far as Legends of Hope goes: I will not update the version for LoH. It's banned for a reason I totally agree with and I support that decision. The only thing I will do is led the old version with LoH compatibility online. As far as uninstallation goes: There should be instructions in the Legends of Hope Readme within the download
Thank for the reply mate! I've deleted Legends of Hope already. However, I found that Celtic Music in Skyrim 2.0 (including with Combat and Dungeon) make Skyrim crashes to Desktop. I have all of the requirement file :Skyrim (Obviously), Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn, Fantasy Soundtrack Non Replacer 3.0 (Including Combat Non Replacer), Symphonies of Skyrim 1.4 and Music Lore 1.1. I'm sure that I've installed them correctly but Celtic Music in Skyrim seems to be the problem. I've tried "02 FSP 3.0 + S0S 1.4 + ML 1.1+ CMIS 2.0" but it crashed, and later figured out is CMIS 2.0. So I have to use "01 FSP" instead (without CMIS 2.0)
None of my other mods make Skyrim crashes to desktop. I hope you'll look into this matter
Well, I don't have that problem and I use the same version of my patch you tried (everything except LOH). The question is: when exactly does it crash? If it crashes on the main menu of the game, its fairly sure that some files are missing. It it crashes mid-game, its something different. However, as I've looked fairly long and deep into the ESPs of the covered plugins, I wouldn't bet there is an error in it.
It's Menu crash! But I 'll figure it out. However where will I put the "Fantasy Soundtrack Project Combat esp" from Fantasy Soundtrack because I don't see that in the load order instruction. Is that supposed to be deactivate or put in last order?
Doesn't really matter as long as it is before the patch. I should mention it in the description anyway, so thanks for pointing that out
For example, my load order is
00 Skyrim.esm 01 Update.esm 02 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp [Version 2.0.6] 03 Dawnguard.esm 04 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp [Version 2.0.6] . . . AA Fantasy Soundtrack Project.esp [Version 3.0] AB Fantasy Soundtrack Project Combat.esp AC FSP - Dawnguard Edition.esp AD FSP - Dragonborn Edition.esp AE Symphonies Of Skyrim.esp AF NirShor-MusicalLore.esp B0 Celtic Music in Skyrim 2.0.esp B1 Celtic Music in Skyrim - Combat.esp B2 Celtic Music in Skyrim - Dungeons.esp B3 NR_Music Mods Compatibility Patch.esp [Version 1.2]
Hope that helps And yes, a menu crash is almost ever because a mod in your load order (esp or esm file) is depending on another mod in your load order (esm or esp file) which needs to be active and loaded before it.
Actually it didn't work. I don't want to hurt the author's feeling after he has shown me some explanation. It appears to be this mod itself since I'm not the only one who has experienced the crash. I've already installed Celtic alone without this mod and it worked perfectly. The same for Fantasy Soundtrack and other music mods. So it has to be the problem of this one because I'm damn sure that my load order is the same as the author's instructions. Second, there's no missing requirement file (all included in my Data folder). Third, none of my other mods affect with the music mods.
But I don't know if the author will look into this matter or not.
I may have fixed the problem - One of the tracklists for exploring had two tracks referenced to NULL instead of an actual track - the tracks listed below these Null references were all the celtic tracks so I moved them two tracks and my Skyrim now loads fine. May have been an oversight by the modder, I've also pm'ed him my fixed .esp
The DIY version (without specifics) is to open the compatibilty ESP in TES5Edit and to find the culprit NULL 000000 references which are under one of the exploration tracklists and moved all the [Celtic] tracks up two tracks to get rid of them.
Well, thanks for the fix durring my absence However, a NULL track, which is clearly a mistake I made, should never ever result in a crash. All Skyrim does when such a entry is there, is to skip to the next one (with a pause, often with minutes without any music... that's why different patches are even required... I could put all tracks of all mods within one ESP, but it would result in long times of silence during gameplay if the tracks aren't found)... however, it should never crash. Ever.
The above issue probably wasn't because of that NULL reference but because the update of celtic music in skyrim which simply changed the name of the ESP file. And loading a plugin (this patch) with a missing master (the old celtic music file name) results in a crash. Therefor: always check the version numbers.

Version 4.1
New installer with the optional combat music included
Some small fixes to some music files
I use version 3 and arrange my load order exactly as you said. But when i play the music doesnt play at all...
Edit: Nevermind i fix it, it's a bug from World Eater Beater.
