So im having the same problem as everyone else. i have 2.1 but his body is green and his face is the same. also he got glitched in darkwater passing where he wouldnt follow me after he said "get me outta here" and luckily i have a mod that sets anyone as a friend, so i clicked him and types "bat setfriend" and it fixed it... but the textures..?
Ive seen where the mod maker says the face glitch is fixed but it is still bugged for me a year after the fix. His horns and body are green but face and neck are grey. Its a shame cuz this is genuinely the best looking texture for him.
i'm having texture issues as well. everything works (body, horns, feathers) but the face texture is still the default one and it looks like he has a mask on. note that i'm a noob and have no idea what WanGinseng's explanation/fix means.
I've just come back to Skyrim so I'll look into the issues everyone's been talking about with the textures. If I remember correctly though it was an issue with face data not saving correctly and my 2.0 file version should fix it; I'm just about to get my fresh install modded and working so I'll see what's up with the issues; sorry for the inconveniences!
Okay, I've gotten to the point of my new playthrough with my v2.0 Derky and I can confirm that Skyrim still won't install the correct face color to him. I'm going to try to find a way that fixes this annoying bug once and for all without Creation Kit editing on the user part (Because I know this way does fix it; but it's a hassle). I'll get back to you once I find out how to fix this stupid issue and I'm sorry for all the nuisances Skyrims engine has caused; alot of mods have this same issue.
I'm back playing Skyrim again, I apologize for the face bugs; back when I made this mod there was literally no fix for the issues and I tried for days to fix it. Hopefully nowdays there is a known fix and if I encounter this bug like everyone says there is I will attempt to permanently fix him this time around. Again, sorry for everyone having to put up with this issue and I will post again when the new version is made or not. Edit: I fixed the stupid bug, sorry everyone; I now know the fix thanks to the internet having more information than there was at 2015; was stupidly easy too and I guess that Skyrim saved it wrong the time before.
This is very weird my game crashed when I installed your mod. Any information I could glean from this? I know it couldn't possibly be your mod but I should have an idea as to what it is with your evaluation if at all possible.
Can't really view it anymore since you took it down but your not alone with having CTD issues; since I've recently come back to Skyrim though I've been using a new mod installing program called Mod Organizer (It's here in Nexus) and my previous CTD ridden experiences have literally become non existent on a game with over 120 mods. Strongly advise using MO over anything out there from now on.
I actually rarely had trouble with Derkeethus in the base game (then again, I gave him good gear with plenty of powerful enchantments so he never flees or had issues. Most of the time, his help what allow me to win the day, so to say, and hell he even saved me with his archery at times). So I'll give this ago... As long as this doesn't force him to do too much of his archery (I kinda gave him plenty of those "missing name" fire arrows, which can get annoying when overdone) and I also do enjoy when he is using his melee weapon, simply because he will also use his own magic and staffs alongside with it.
Though I'll probably expand from this mod on my own anyways, making him more suited for my own wishes.
