Started it. Waited for things to kick into gear. Built a Campfire campsite in the middle of Whiterun plains. Went on small missions to find survivors and bring them to the camp. Grew a nice little Survivors' Guild to rebuild Skyrim later. 11/10 would play again.

Good Lord where have I been?? I was begging for a mod like this some years back!

I've always wanted to see a mod created that splits the Main Quest and allows you to join Alduin. I had the theory that the locks in the barrows are so easy because the draugr are locked in, you're not locked out. They were the loyal servants of the Dragon Priests, who in turn were the holy spokesmen chosen by the dragons to rule mankind. They've all been cursed to undeath while they wait for their lord Alduin to return.

Now this doesn't do everything I wanted, but I could damn sure role play it some! Thanks for this mod, will download and test now!

      This is actually canon

Would be nice to replace all Skyrim animals to draugr..Also the mod Skyrim Settlement Builder by LvxMagicka has a banner which you put in a place and it spawns bandits, it should have an option to replace bandits to Draugr, so I could place Draugr spawns near my settlement walls and defend like the walking dead

Is it hypothetically possible to beat the game with this mod enabled?

Should be unless important characters are killed, but that's what the Essential tag is for.

2 possibilities, one too many scripted mods in load order causing crash (unlikely). The other being irreconcilable record conflicts use xedit to fix.

Have you considered using patchers like mator smash? It can tone down conflicts like this tremendously! Also consider using wrye bash as well it can even make it so that you don't need some esp's! I use both together myself. First I let wrye bash do it's thing and then I let mator smash finish the rest.

I know this isn't a mod you pay as much attention to, but this one mod has had such a huge impact on my ability to come back and enjoy this game that I figured I'd sing it's praises a bit. I got pretty much everything out of the game back in 2011/2012, like a lot of other people I'd expect. While many cool new mods have come out since then, the game was still largely the same. Mostly the same quests. Mostly the same mechanics. Mostly it was still just Skyrim. For me at least.

Not with this mod. With this mod I didn't need to rely on quests that I've done before to enjoy the game. It turns out Skyrim's world is really well suited to this kind of thing. Combined with all the survival mods that you would expect, this becomes an entirely new game. A fantasy zombie survival game is not something I'd have thought I'd enjoy, but it's kept me coming back to this game, so thank you for the hours of fun you've enabled me to enjoy and much luck with your future endeavors.

I'm interested in your idea of the game. What's your mod list for this?

I.. I know I am YEARS late to this response. Sorry about that. But hell, I'll finally expand on this the best I can. If I remember new stuff I'll edit it in.

From what I remember, the core of my setup was essentially Draugnarok, a few of the popular survival mods, a couple mods that allowed for some bare bones base-building, along with some others. It sounds like a generic setup, but I found it to be a profound experience as very little of the gameplay relied on vanilla content such as quests, dungeons, ect. The armies of the dead force you to live in the wilderness most of the time, which is it's own danger due to the survival mods. The idea is that you are never safe and always NEED something to persist, creating an new gameplay loop. Mod list as best as I can remember:

(the first few here are obvious choices so i won't explain their purpose)
      - Draugnarok
      - Frostfall
      - iNeed
      - Darker Nights
      - You Hunger (makes food scarce which forces you out into the world and into contact with the hordes)
      - (something that makes animals faster and harder to hunt)
      - Sokco's Guild Starter (this is included so you can gather some surviving NPCs instead of leaving them to die. see how many you can save? i wouldn't recommend actually using many of the guild functions since the world is supposed to be dying. if you setup along a road, you and your allies may come under attack by wandering draugr, which is aweosme)
      - Live Anywhere (can compliment the above mod. mainly useful for not having to venture into a town or village solely to use a crafting station)
      - True 3D Sound for Headphones (this in combination with "Skeletons of Daggerfall" makes roaming the woods in pitch black darkness actually kind of terrifying as you can accurately hear the packs of undead roaming around you, screeching their heads off. can also help to avoid them)

That's the gist of it, Again, not an extensive list. Like I said in my old comment, Skyrim is already surprisingly well suited to this kind of setup. If you or anyone actually responds to this, I'll try not to take two years to reply.

If you're still reading this I made an addon for live anywhere uploaded on my other account (terrorofskyrim) that allows you to craft some of it's content like the variation of the smelter for example. It uses logical resource like cauldrons and such. Things you can find ingame so try to look out for those. it definately makes things a bit different. I also made it because I didn't like that you had to buy everything from a random merchant in a dank mine...

So try it sometime or use another mods that also does this and more. I didn't exclude the basements because there are like 4 variations of each one so I left them alone so you still have to buy them from the merchant.

I decided to use this mod as a grand finale for my game together with mods like tundra defense and that other, ancient now, building mod that spawns all kinds of things also campfire and a few addons fit in quite well too. I'm planning on trying to save as many people as I can from the horde and I'll try to leave skyrim ona boat to hunters lands where we will try to build up civilization once more. Now I only need to get that "write a diary" mod and it'll be a true survival series!

Decided to try this out with Draugr Replacement by Dgtlsrcrss. It works. Most of the draugr are replaced by various types of vampires. I am also using Truly Undead Reborn and Better Vampire NPCs along side it. It is absolutely terrifying. I am using The Walking Draugr along with it as well, but I have never stuck around to see if the NPCs killed resurrect as vampires or draugr.

I highly recommend Otherworld ENB Dark Shadows and Shadows by HHaley alongside it to create a very grim atmosphere for the vampire apocalypse.

Can I get permission to have this mod ported to SSE for Xbox One?
