In 2019 the eff version is useless and incompatible with eff current version. With the other version, she is recruited with her own follower ai, that is, you don't get the usual eff pie menu, but it seems to work well anyway, she follows well and do her usual stuff, didn't test her much so far. Ah yes there is a followercount requirement so you can't recruit her if serana is around, even if you told her to wait somewhere, you can remove the requirement with tes5edit and recruit her anyway. You can also force recruit her with eff mcm, but it probably removes all her comments in this case...
Thank you very much for your excellent mod, it's just perfect, works as it should if you're using NMM and im actually using it on SE not on oldrim, so if anyone wants confirmation: YES it does work on SE (as long as you're using NMM on PC, i guess) I don't like to mess much with the original Skyrim game so this mod is really good for users who like to keep it as close as possible to the original game. Endorsed AF, get it.
EFF no longer uses the XFLMain ESM. What does that mean for your EFF versions of Anska/Heimskr/Nazeem? Have the EFF changes made it safe to use the normal versions of you enhanced followers?
Preliminary results using Anksa (non EFF version) with EFF 4.0.0:
I'm level 34 or so and have EFF 4.0.0 - release version. (I'm not upgrading to 4.0.1 yet because I'm in the middle of a playthrough.) I'm also using FCO. My plugin load order is EFF then Anska then FCO (to make sure the FCO changes get carried through). I then used TES5Edit to carry forward a bunch of EFF dialogue changes but changed the voice requirement to match Anska or FCO - while I was in there I upgraded her to essential just in case.
I played through High Gate and then made Anska an EFF follower (through the usual dialogue - I did not need the EFF MCM command) and traveled to Solitude with her, fighting a pair of dragons and a horde of spiders encountered en-route while riding horses (via Convenient Horses).
In High Gate she would not sneak and once turned on Arissa when one of them accidentally struck the other - but I think that is normal. Her firepower is awesome and combining my archery sneak attacks and her heavy artillery we demolished most opponents pretty handily.
Following after the dungeon went fine and she seems to behave well. I haven't tried sneaking much her yet as a follower but didn't notice anything untoward yet. She works well but I'm not entirely sure I'll keep her as a regular follower - she might be quite quite a bit OPed the way she spams fireballs at enemies - I've got an audio overhaul which make them sound like heavy ordinance and when she's in action it's almost like standing next to a Katyusha rocket launcher with enemies just exploding. Maybe I'll cheat and keep her in waiting in a house and just summon her if I run into an OPed enemy that's kicking my butt.
That's some funny $h*T right there ...lol... I love followers and thier highjinx I think some of the screwy bugs and stuff followers mods do are a plus+. Controll is an illusion and one thing I've discovered is getting followers and horses to play all nice together in Skyrim is like trying to invent time travel ...lol... It maby the hardest thing for mere mod users to acomplish.
Can't for the life of me get this mod to work. I ask about what the scroll says, and then she has no new dialogue. I tried recycleactor, setlevel 1000 0 1 65535. I put it dead last in my load order. I dunno.
