LOL counterfeiting in Skyrim. Then again, 25 gold is a bit too little I think. You can easily craft 2 gold rings from 1 gold ingot, and each gold ring is worth 75 gold in the vanilla game. So, why would you make 25 gold coins from an ingot when you can make 2 gold rings and sell them for at least 100 gold coins total?
I was going to leave the same advice - make rings or necklaces. The price REALLY goes up if you add gems and/or enchantments. It's much better than counterfeiting. Of course, that's still no reason to not allow counterfeiting. To make the mod decent, you need a chance of getting caught each time you spend the counterfeit gold. Turning ingots into coins is the easy part, making counterfeiting have consequences is the hard part.
