2023 Update: As noted on the SSE page sticky comment. This project is open to anyone with published mods for either Oldrim or SSE to take over this version of AI Overhaul. Please notify me here in the comments or by pm if you want to continue developing this version of the mod.
2022 Update: For those wondering the latest LE versions are independent from the SSE version. Limited support for LE & Open source.
Recent update brings back the wives' freedom inside cities and a universal flee function for vanilla NPCs. No additional edits to NPCs.
For Unofficial patch users you will have to forward some "UKSP" specific forms. LE users might have to forward some DLC forms.
Current saves will need to start a new game for Flee behavior to work.
You can manually start it in the console by doing "stopquest AIOverhaulFleeFunction" then "startquest AIOverhaulFleeFunction"

I'm back from the dead baby!! (Done school. Working a lot now, thank god) I will be continuing this project on the port version for Skyrim SE.
Thank you to all that have downloaded, endorsed and gave feedback, without you I probably wouldn't of released this. Thank you to ArchimondeTheDefiler for the 1000th endorsement! *cheering in the background*
Also would like to say this community is amazing and one of the best past times I have the privilege of doing. Great big thank you to the Nexus community and to Bethesda and every other company that supports modding. Free forever!
Thanks for coming back, your mod is essential to many of us...It is a great project.Keep on updating it.. I was using immersive citizen, and decided to uninstall as it was buggy... Best Regards
Thank you very much! :) There's still a legit fanbase of LE so we appreciate this a ton! Thanks again!!! (do you have patreon so we can support you?)
Two maybe silly questions:
- does the rain behavior have any conflict / incompatibility with Wet and Cold? - would you recommend using Darklocq's USLEP version, or is AIO now out of the box compatible with USLEP / DLCs?
It isn't 100% hence the aforementioned patch. I don't have all the DLC for oldrim so it will be just for Old-Oldrim for those that don't wan't/use the unofficial patches.
It will conflict with any mod that edits NPCs affected by AIO. You have to resolve conflicts in TES4Edit. Besides that Immersive Citizens and HOLDs are incompatible 100%
Hello, when using easynpc to pick remodels, how does this affect AI OVERHAUL? Do i still need to create a patch or something to make ai overhaul work ?
Seems to be a great mod but its not compatible with lots of npc replacer .Why not only replace the packages without npc vanilla data? Dont have this problem with immersive citizens.
not sure if it would work, but you could use the tes5edit to copy the ai packages into the replacer mod and add them to the npc in question, or copy the npc facegen data from the replacer mod over to the npcs affected by the ai packages
NPC replacers are always incompatible with mods that change npc appearances. Every replacer for Aela for example reverses the change that the Unofficial Patch makes to her preferred armor (by default she's more proficient in light armor despite spawning in heavy armor). Its just the nature of them. Its not hard to make your own patches. If you want to heavily mod this game, its a necessary skill to have to do so. Its actually how I learned to make patches. I've never felt inclined to upload 99% of them though because they're so easy to make. I only caved for some of my skytest patches because people kept begging me. I actually have half a dozen patches for this thing alone, each of which only took me seconds to make.
This version is separate from the SE version. It's an older branch with different updates than SE. For now there is no plan to update LE, later on there might be an update.
This mod creates a large tear/seam in Markarth just in front of general goods store. Anyone can open mod in xedit, expand world space and navigate to MarkarthWorld, Block -2,0 Sub-block -6,0 and click on MarkarthOrigin and you will see one thing from vanilla that is touched "MarVendorSq01" click on that and navigate down to where you see vanilla position being slightly off, revert vanilla position for that and seam/tear is fixed.

it still has the error of the brown faces in the npc, I mention it because I use the Bijin mod
Came here for the SE version, just to quickly download the Original so I can give you more Endorsements! You would not believe how much I love this mod! <3
