I am no modder, but could it be possible to use the same mechanic to stop NPCs to walk through the fire ? Like they don't go in water ? I mean : would you go yourself ?? (no firefighter comment plz ^^) Could you do a mod like that, please ? Or just tell me what to do change in SSEdit ? A simple keyword, maybe ? Help our Skyrim's NPCS, plz ! I'm dumbfounded by the dumbness of thoses dumbass...
Do NOT download this, lol, just.. don't. It only works in all the ways it shouldn't. They will never follow you across a river or sea, ever; but i will tell you what they will do: - they will try and find the nearest body of water and go in it the instant combat initiates; on their own mind, you won't be even near said body of water; in fact, might as well stand still, they will still ignore you (and your spells/arrows) and just try and find water. - they will forsake the vanilla pathfinding and adopt the mod's, again in all the wrong ways. When in vanilla skyrim they would run as close to straight at you as possible? Now they will go, you guessed it, find a river.. swim aaaaaall the way around it, either way, and be back at you in a couple of hours, no rush. - in all circumstances, there is a high chance they will get 'stuck' in the water and be unable to exit, rendering thmselves sitting ducks. You can even have groups of them standing still enjoying the water; while you're shooting at them.

The second part is most likely a general LE issue. Too many npcs in a cell and physics and ai go wonky. ~80-100 for LE iirc, not realy a problem in SE. The first part could be the same issue, except they froze in the water by coincidence.
Went with this one over Skyrim Swimming Enemies, due to this one not needing an array of compatibility patches and also because leaving animals' water behavior alone makes them seem more territorial rather than blindly aggressive towards the player. Thanks.
This. At first i thought it was dumb that animals won't follow but after reading your post it makes sense that they'd be more territorial than agressive and less inclined to follow you through water. And even comparing it to real life, the most aggressive of animals will most likely stop chasing you if you cross a large body of water
My next issue: for some reason, only human actors can cross the water. I tried to lure wolves, skeleton, draugr and many other creature and they refuse to cross the water.
I just tried the mod. I play with requiem and i really think i need some help with the load order.
I see random animals diving in the water too often. When the enemies see me and they dive in the water to come see me, they act so dumb. I mean, they will try and go directly at me instead of curving their way back up to get at me.
As a result, they won't go back-up and it's too easy to exploit.
Warning: This combined with Hypothermia or Frostfall is quite akward mods since your opponents jump in icecold water whenever they spot you. In ice-cold water they should act a little more carefull atleast with such a mod but great mod nonetheless!
