How to Make Custom Armor Patches
Step 1: Plan (optional)
Create a spreadsheet or list of all the armor you want to create transmog-enabled versions of. Plan out "transmog" names (ex: ) and determine purchase costs; I usually multiply the original armor gold value by 2.5 and round to the nearest 25. Use the planning list to track item duplication, temper recipes, and dialogue implementation.
Step 2: Load Dependencies
Load Skyrim.esm and the custom armor mod; do NOT set an Active File. After it finishes loading, click Save and name your mod.
Step 3: Duplicate Items
Right-click the custom armor and select Duplicate. Add "Xmog" to the beginning of the duplicate's Editor ID and remove the "DUPLICATE" portion that is auto-generated.
