I've really enjoyed having this mod but I want to uninstall it now but now I have there are invisible stormcloaks running around skyrim because they are wearing the armor from the mod still but it hasn't rendered. Any advice?
Little late to the party, but for anyone else having the same problem: Just select them in the console and type resurrect. Doing so will reset their inventories.
Seeing as the Windhelm set also acts as a replacer for the Stormcloak's armor, how about a patch that does the same for the Solitude Infantry set and the Imperial soldiers? The stormcloak soldiers wearing the set have a rather large advantage over the imperials still stuck in the vanilla set. So replacing the imperials vanilla set with the Solitude Infantry set would level the playing field again.
Seeing that there hasn't been a post on this for some time, I don't know if asking this question is even practical, however I've ran into a glitch that causes a CTD and I can't figure it out. First off, it has to do with the Savage Hunter armor, the most infamous armor it seems. I made the armor but ran into a situation where I needed a better set, as I am low level with the problematic save file. So I placed the armor into the storage chest, in the bedroom of the Whiterun house (name eludes me). I took care of my temporary rival, and returned to the house with spoils to be stored. When I opened the chest, the Savage Hunter armor was still there, but for some reason it's preview image in the menu was the correct shape, but was black, purple, blue, and yellow in randomized patterns. The closest thing I can think of for comparison is armors in Oblivion when the texture file was corrupt or missing (that weird rainbow pixelation effect). A few seconds later, CTD. I can load up the character, and play as that character like normal, but I always CTD if I try to open that chest.
I am not running any custom scripts save for HDT Physics mod and, of course, SKSE so HDT will work properly. Other than that, no custom scripts and no conflicting mods. I ahve not edited any part of this mod, nor do I run any personal mods that could have been subject to corruption. As a test, I did disable this mod, and only this mod, and I could then open the chest as desired. I then re-enabled the mod, crafted the armor again, placed it in the chest and waited a few days (in-game). I then proceeded to open the chest and, again, CTD. I have not tried any other chests at this time, and no other set of armor is causing any issues.
I am a modder myself, and honestly, this baffles me. I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening. I figure I leave this post just to let you know, and hopefully it can be resolved. I will keep testing things, but as I am on a limited internet plan (mobile hotspot) let's just assume that if I haven't posted anything sense this post, then I have not found a resolution to the problem. Thanks for your time, and I do apologize for the length of this post. Best wishes.
