This is just a small taste of what I think Jack is capable of. Give him some ideas so he can expand on it!

      Here are some ideas then.

Skyrim is really lacking in the buff and un-buff spell categories. If I could say... cast berserk or protect, etc on my followers before or during battle (Like good ol' final fantasy), then I wouldn't mind if they did the slaying because I enabled them to do so. Of course, the spells would hopefully work on the player, too.

You could use variations of this script to attach to spells that would do just that. Maybe add on some sort of visual effect when the spell is cast to show the NPC has the effect.

Great work so far. Hope you continue with it!

Hey! Thanks for the script, a great idea.
Do you happen to know, whether there is a code for the 'form list' type in GetType(), in case if one form list placed inside the other, and need to find it among the other types.

I feel as if you could have done far more with this, than simply change damage intake. Personally, I would rather have Lydia (or anyone for that matter) DEAL less damage, than get put to there knees more often. That happens often enough when the situation gets harry; I don't want my companions to die faster to make up for their damage output-- that's rather counterproductive, so why bring them along at all?

Lydia is amazing because she is reliable, and in difficult and trying battles strength in numbers is key. But when a follower is brought to their knees, they are ignored; I've noticed that in the hardest battles I've completely lost faith in victory when I saw my companion drop to their knees, and all around me powerful foes are swarming in.

Powerful companions keep the pressure off your back; its not an issue of envying their constitution, but their incredible power, slaying foes before you get the chance to get more than a few hits in. I want companions by my side to share the glory equally, not a mod that increases how often they feebly watch me partake of glory from their knees.

I've been thinking about writing a script that lowers an actors output damage, I may do that within the next few days.

Technically this script is for people who have the creation kit.

If you have the creation kit you can do the following:

On the Actor form, Attack Data tab, you can change the damage dealt by each different attack without changing the actor's level. But technically you are still changing stats.
