    Sticky
    Warning:
The MCM menu in Dance of Death mod version 4.0 has opposite settings for a number of the toggles.

    Toggles Working Correctly:
    Player Immunity
    Last Enemy Restriction
    Perk Bypass

    Toggles Working Incorrectly:
    Static Killmoves
    Dynamic Killmoves
    Rotating Killmoves
    Advancing Killmoves

This can be tested by opening console and entering "help DOD 3" which will list all of dance of death's global variables.

Thanks to UnmeiX for pointing this out.

How do we properly install the DOD script fix?

Easy way... use nexus mod manager.

Other way, place the script in the script directory which is something like: C:/Steamapps/Common/The Elder Scrolls V SkyrimDataScripts

It depends where you installed the game

Honestly I would recomend to use Violenz instead of dance of death. The Author of dance of death no longer has time to update or improve his mod and he also recomends VioLens. VioLens also has a patch for Requiem included in installer.

Hi, if you install the "Dance of Death MCM menu fix" whit the mod manager it will put the "danceofdeathmcmscript.pex" in the Data folder and it will creates the Source folder (whit the "danceofdeathmcmscript.psc" inside) in the Data folder instead of the correct Scripts folder, i think you should adjust that.
Anyway thanks for your patches and sorry for my bad english!

Really well done. This is one of my favourite mods so this fix is much appreciated!

EDIT: Do I need both the Requiem patch and the MCM fix even though i'm not using Requiem?

Using both - Wrye Bash tells me there is a missing master.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Negative: You get the missing master because the Requiem patch requires Requiem.

I'll be creating a similar patch for vanilla soon, that should fix most issues with normal TDoD.

Just to clarify, the MCM menu fix is NOT Requiem dependent? Can I use it with the non-Requiem version of Dance of Death? (I assumed this to be correct until the download indicated that both DoD and Requiem were required).

This is correct. The optional fixed script isn't Requiem dependent. (The MCM script is Dance of Death's, nothing Requiem about it.)

In response to post #14573558. #14577068, #14584128, #14590973, #14591253 are all replies on the same post.

Well, the point is you didn't have to include all the files in the bsa.

Seems like he didn't want to single out the script so he left the other content (negligible in size) in there. Why you feel the need to make a deal of it is beyond me..

And.. I'm pretty sure that wasn't your point, that was a secondary point you made, more of an afterthought, looks like. (Just like this wasn't my point.) XD

Yes, I see what you are talking about.

Have you tried contacting DaedalusAI? That would be the best way to get it fixed.

I'll go ahead and make the different versions, should only take 5 minutes a piece. Will post them tonight, have to go cut the grass right now

I'll go ahead and try contacting him so he can integrate it into the main file, but.. I appreciate you (and this patch, which I've been using since I picked up TDoD, thank you ) for picking it up for me, I'll direct TDoD users to your vanilla patch once you have it up. =D

I was inspired to look into this by all the posts on TDoD's support thread asking if it's dead. I love TDoD and it works fine for Requiem users.. Your patch made it obvious to me that some -small fixes- could have the mod working properly, so I figured.. Let's see just how small those fixes really are. XD

Positive stuff. I'll have to make a patch that fixes vanilla, like you did for Requiem, but I'll direct TDoD users to your patch for the script at least.

Why isn't the script fix included in the main download? And the script fix file has an unnecessary interface folder and an unnecessary ski_playerloadgamealias.pex script.

I will keep them separate until the day I delete the script. DOD is not my mod and when it is fixed I will delete this hotfix from my page.

And the script fix file has an unnecessary interface folder and an unnecessary ski_playerloadgamealias.pex script.

I included all the files I extracted from the BSA.

You don't have to use the fix I posted. You can write your own or learn to use toggles backwards.

He was unsure of posting the script, though I tried to reassure him that Daedalus has been seeking assistance with TDoD for quite some time.

Because it's someone else's, (and because both Requiem and NON-Requiem users of TDoD need this fix) he keeps it as a separate download. If you use Mod Organizer, you can easily select only the fixed mcm script to install.
