A new version(V3.01) has been uploaded and requires Apachii skyhair to be installed. The mod contains better head meshes, new tint masks, fangs added and fixes the vampire dark face bug. This new version will not overwrite any existing beauty mods (apart from Vampires).

Requires Apachii Skyhair 1.6 full, males 1.2 and females 1.5

    It's Been a while

    Added version 3.02

It's apachii only as KS hair crashes my system
Dark face bug fixed (USLEEP Compatible)
    all textures and meshes reworked
    Female vampires now have fangs
Place mod towards the bottom of your load order!
Don't use this with my other mod (babes of skyrim) as it is included with that mod and will conflict.

Thanks for the 1000+ endorsements and your continued support!

The hair requirement is aaaaaahhhhhhh , I already have over 300 hairs without Apachi Skyhair , and every one of them is better than Apachi Skyhair .

Indeed. I would have given this mod a try. But with this unnecessary dependency, it's a big no-no.

So does this mod apply to the player or just NPCs?

What are the names of the 5 followers?
I only found, in RW-inn a white hair snow-something and she was not a vampire

Fixed a lot of my clipping and texture problems but I really don't like having so many unnecessary hairs. Would be a lot better if Apachii was optional. Makes my game unstable and I can't justify a GB on my hard drive just for Skyrim hair as this mod seems to require even the optional packs.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have been having blackface bug with vampire npcs and not even the CK CTRL-F4 facegen trick has worked. I tried like five other vampire mods to try to fix it. None of them worked. And thank you SO much for doing the male vampires as well. So many overhauls don't include the males. Why don't you have a donate option???

If there was only two things I would want, it would be an option to have normal eyes for some of the 'hidden' vampires like Hert, Hern, etc. Those that are trying to 'pass' as humans, and information on if there would be a way in TES5Edit to tweak the skin tone on the mod to not be so pale. In my ENB, for example, Hert and Hern are incredibly pale despite being out in the sun, and almost a little greenish.

I don't care though, I will use this mod forever, LOL. I'm so happy!

Oh, one thing I did notice when I was in TES5Edit, some of the vampires are missing their Attacks sections and a lot of other USLEEP changes. So I think a USLEEP patch would be really great. Also, I was curious why some of the vampires were added to the Prey Faction?

I'm still getting the dark face bug with most of the female vampires. I haven't seen many males and what males I have seen don't have the bug. It's good to see you update the mod for USLEEP. I just hope I can solve this dark face issue.

There seems to be a racial component to this bug. I've yet to find an Imperial who has it. Bretons and Dark Elves always seem to have it. The rest sometimes do and sometimes don't.

Thank you DarOne for the update!

As I said below, I've been using V2 KS for a long time. Lil sad to see KS go, but I understand if it's giving you problems.

Downloading the new version, and will def give it a go.

    Two questions;

I use your alternate vamp eyes (red) mod. Will that still work?

And, would you consider adding fangs from BVFE? Maybe a patch?

yes, I'm using my white variant eyes and works fine.

KS hairs pushed my system over the edge (running a gaming laptop). I'm running SG hair-pack 350(best Hair mod ever) , apachii + the female and male hair, and with KS it took my hairstyles count to over 1000 and made racemenu (which I use to create my mods) unusable. CTD when selecting female character in racemenu.

I will look into the BVFE fangs, I never did get why Bethesda didn't give the female vamps fangs from day one?

Thank you for the quick reply .

I'm played around a little this morning, and so far all looks good! Your red eyes work great!

I hear you on SG HP. I run SG 268, all Apachii, and KS renewal. Plus KS Hairdos HDT Physics, lol. So I feel ya on having lots of hair! I run Racemenu v3-4-5 as well without any problems, although I still use Showracemenu Precache Killer even though I've been repeatedly told I don't need it. I look at it as; It's definitely not causing any problems being in my load order, and " That's a lot of hair mods " .

TY for the mod, and for looking into the fangs from BVFE. Yeah; It never made sense to me why Bethesda would do fangs for males, and then they left them out for female vamps.

They should be fully fanged up later today, I'm adding new meshes

Edit: new file with Fangs uploaded. I think I have got them all. 20 or so are unaccounted for, but hopefully they are just duplicates. let me know if you see any texture mismatches.

      Have issues to report.

Both and male dark elf and a female dark elf so far. The male was in Broken Fang Cave, and the female was in Pinemoon Cave ( although I'm pretty sure they are random, so not sure if this helps any. ) Saved the game in each instance, disabled v 3.1 in MO and reabled v 2 with KS hairs, then reloaded the saves. Both looked fine with v 2 w/KS.

Should note that in the case of the male, was a clear texture issue ( discolored head ), but in the case of the female, she had the bat face and vanilla hair ( looked as if she was just missed by the mod entirely ).

I still have the saves, so if you need anything, let me know Dar.

Thanks again for all of your efforts here.

As a side note, I really like the KS v 2, but obviously I miss the fangs from BVFE that you were so kind to include in v 3.1. I've read and reread Rhonen5's post below, thinking of just making a patch myself, but I can't say I understand how it would work. He says to delete the facegen from this mod....how in the world will I keep your faces if I try to make a patch that way??? ( I'll admit, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to using the CK...I usually just edit things in TES5Edit ). Any help would be appreciated.

I remade my .nifs as overwriting my nifs causes dark faces. you can use the creation kit and remake the textures, but the results are not as good as my mod produces as you get uglier vampires. I used this tutorial to edit the tri files http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Working_with_Skyrim_head_TRIs

I will look at all vampire records and fix those issues. the dark face is a textures issue and the goblin original appearance is a mesh issue. Thanks for pointing them out. I will fix later today

To change hairstyles you could use the hairstyler mod. Just cast a spell at the NPC you want to change and select the hair. there are tutorials about adding other hairs tot this mod so you could use KS or SG etc...

      Thanks Dar.

The hairstyler seems like my best bet. I really don't want to mess with the CK if I can help it. Mainly because, I don't know what I'm doing and with 150ish mods installed ( not to mention the time I spent in TES5Edit to both tweak them and make them play together nicely ) I reallllly don't want to blow up my game ( as I've managed to do several times already, lmao ).

OK, went through every Vampire NPC and found 2 Goblins and a few head body mismatches. I have tweaked some of the head meshes too and changed some of the hairstyles. v3.2 is uploaded!

The CK is very buggy and has destroyed my Skyrim directory on numerous occasions ( always keep an up to date backup for this very reason) with hardly any intervention on my behalf I believe you can add new hairstyles to the hairstyler just by editing with TES5EDIT as it creates wigs hence no dark face bug.

Hope you like the new version

Is this mod dead? KS Hairs cant be found. There is a KS Hairs Renewal here on nexus. I googled and only found renewal and a KS Hairs Light.

Update for Skyrim Legendary Edition, not Special Edition:

Do not use apachii version, it is bugged.
    Use KS Hair version.
You must have Apachii (Full, Male and Female) and unofficial legendary patch mods installed prior to install.
You should have no other unofficial patch installed.
When installing KS Hair version, you must overwrite.
Note: I did not test it in dawnguard, but know that it works in the regular skyrim.

So you're saying the KS hair version of this mod will now work with USLEEP?

Nope, it doesn't work with USLEEP. I guess I misunderstood. I sure wish someone would patch this mod to work with USLEEP.

I use this mod with USLEEP without any issues.

TES5Edit is your friend. Just drag and drop ( which will add USLEEP as a master ). There honestly wasn't much to edit. Just DO NOT edit the tint/appearance fields.

Ericore was simply telling you to use the KS hairdos version with USLEEP and not the Apachii version of the main files to avoid the dark face bug.
