It works but there is one problem now the courior will not stop saying he has a letter for me and when i am expecting a real letter he wont give it but thats ok because i can kill him and he will be replaced >
Just letting you know, not everyone uses SKSE so your mod is still valid. 10 points. If it's ok, I might change it a bit so that couriers and fugitives that try to force conversation and add items into my inventory without giving me any say die in a fiery explosion for breaking etiquette. But probs not.
From the way I understand it, they will attempt to force their conversation until it's completed. For instance, under normal circumstances, if you ran away they would follow you. So what should happen here is that they approach, try to start convo, fail due to the check, then hang around and keep attempting until player is out of combat.
I've had this mod running for a few weeks and have yet to encounter the situation. A watched pot never boils, I suppose. I'm endorsing because the mod did not break my game, and I still think it's a fantastic idea.
I especially love it when he says "Let's see here,..." while I'm being incinerated by a dragon. Take your time, buddy. I have nothing to do other than drop dead from my burns, which I did as he handed me a map.
This is more likely to get added to SMPC. Arthmoor probably doesn't view this as an actual bug, and will steer clear of it. rolloLG on the other hand would definitely go for this.
It can't hurt to see if Arthmoor will add it in though. I haven't used SMPC in a very long time...heard somewhere maybe from the STEP team or from the Unofficial patch team that SMPC can cause problems. Who knows that could have just been drama though.
EDIT: Here we are, found it. http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3719-the-skyrim-misc-patches-collection-aka-uskp-addon/
I would love to see the guy who sticks stolen items on you blocked permanently. The courier needs to be able to be blocked from forcing me to accept his quests I don't want as well. This is a big step in the right direction.
Hear! Hear!! These ideas should be implemented forthwith!! These irritations should be in a level list, or something! After level 25-30, you should no longer be bugged by these minor NPC's as they have nothing to offer your experience.
The courier hasn't really been a problem for me in combat. He's just annoying that he stops me mid stride on my way to sell all my phat loots. The fugitive on the other hand has interupted 4 dragon fights, 6 frost troll fights, and countless bandit battles. I have taken the liberty of always killing him on sight. Occasionally getting him before he gets me, unless he sneaks up behind me.
Good work, but the most annoying fact is that the couriers find you in seconds after a persons death with the inheritance message. Breaks every Immersion for me. But maybe these guys are undercover Psijic Monks?
