I've just uploaded v3 of Scroll Crafting (Including the Optional Lore Friendly Patch). Based off some feedback, I've made some changes to the mod. The new version introduces a Perk system that will be required to craft scrolls. This is help balance the game and stop low level players from crafting multiple master level spells over and over .
I've also redesigned the Inscription table with it's own personal look (Yay). No more will it look like an Enchanting table. I've also now completed every single scroll in the game. For a full list of scrolls, please visit the change log.
Thank you everyone for your continued support and feedback. I really appreciate it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on how I can make this mod even better for you all to enjoy. Thanks!
Scroll Craft Lore Friendly Update:
Based on some feedback, I decided to make an optional patch that will be lore friendly. Now, in order to craft any scroll, you will need a specific soul gem. I've made the required soul gem based off the actual spells level. So for example:
Note: Soul gems required for scrolls do *not* have to be filled. You only need the soul gem itself. Only a few spells require an actual filled soul gem. The Lore Friendly version will automatically overwrite the latest version which is 2.0. So if you wish to revert back, it's as simple as downloading the most up to date Non-Lore Friendly Version. Thanks guys!
I'd like put in a request for a Requiem Patch. So that the perks might still be available to those using Requiem. I myself use requiem, and I manually add the perks as I achieve the appropriate level in Enchanting. Since it is in the level up menu, it doesn't exactly break immersion, but it is certainly an inconvenience. Would really love to see this compatible with Requiem. Otherwise, brilliant mod, don't know why Bethesda did not add this into the series at Morrowind already. Not to mention the removal of spell crafting... that really ticked me off.
the conditions for making scrolls are strange, because if you have the scroll crafting master perk, but you dont have any destruction perk taken or have any training at all on destruction you could still craft master destruction level srolls, like for example firestorm, it doesn't make much sense.
I mean if you could craft a scroll from a certain spell, it's because you should know how to cast it in order to make it.
My suggestions for you (if you're still working on/supporting this mod) are as follows:
1. Create patches for popular perk overhauls (SkyRe/PerMa, Ordinator, etc.) 2. Include the new Crafting Station perhaps as an Add-On to Hearthfire Houses 3. Create modular versions, ie one without the Crafting Station (simply add the crafting options to Enchanting Tables), a Perkless version, etc.
These changes imo would make this mod the GO TO for any Scroll Crafting needs, keep up the good work!
There is actually a patch for the mod that allows it to work with Ordinator. The problem though is that said patch is only available for the Special Edition of the mod.
I hope there's patch for your mod with Ordinator, I really want to have it but your perk tree overrides Ordinator's Enchanting tree - which has pretty good tree too. Anyway, good mod with nice scroll crafting mechanics.
While this mod does look pretty cool, as well as being one I would use for a new character of mine (an orc relic hunter/monster slayer who uses various enchanted artifacts and scrolls to bolster himself due to a lack of a skill in magic, as well as to make him more than just another "smash everything that moves with a giant axe" warrior build), the downside however is the added perks. Given that I almost always use Ordinator with the majority of my characters, the perks added to the enchanting tree make it incompatible. I did notice that you do have a patch for Ordinator in your Special Edition version of the mod, so would it be easy for you to recreate that patch for Oldrim?
Yeah, this would be my question too. I've got Expanded Winterhold Ruins as well as ICW, so I'm curious as to whether there's a conflict with either of these mods a drop in performance in certain areas.

Based on some feedback, I decided to make an optional patch that will be lore friendly. Now, in order to craft any scroll, you will need a specific soul gem. I've made the required soul gem based off the actual spells level. So for example:
Master Spell - Grand Soul Gem
Expert Spell - Greater Soul Gem
Adept Spell - Common Soul Gem
Apprentice Spell - Lesser Soul Gem
Novice Spell - Petty Soul Gem
Note: Soul gems required for scrolls do *not* have to be filled. You only need the soul gem itself. Only a few spells require an actual filled soul gem. The Lore Friendly version will automatically overwrite the latest version which is 2.0. So if you wish to revert back, it's as simple as downloading the most up to date Non-Lore Friendly Version. mod looks great

Is there any chance you'd port this to XBone SSE?
