Really tired of people saying their mod is lore friendly when it clearly isn't. Nothing wrong with not being lore friendly, but don't say it is when it isn't.
Just because it inst mentioned, it doesn't mean that it can't be there. I have written the journal of this character (Which you can read in full in-game) to balance both lore, and be an interesting new style of telling a story to players. We have different definitions of lore-friendly, for you I assume it is as if the story is a dictionary. If it isn't stated in the dictionary, then it is not a word, but language evolves and new terms come into play not by a lexicographer, but by the people who use the language. For me, if something is lore friendly, then it doesn't conflict with any existing lore. I think you may be mistaken in thinking that this is just taking the character that this is based off and slapping it into the game but it isn't. This is a mod based on the personality of the character with a new, not out of place story, which in my views it does not conflict with any existing lore, and in my views and a lot of players counts as lore-friendly. I kindly request that yourself and others cease to stop posting on this mod by saying what it isn't in your ideals, and allow it for actual players of the mod to give feedback and those who have questions about the functionality of the mod.
Not wanting to ruin the author's work and excitement, but I suppose the definition of "lore-friendly" is not in the eyes of the beholder. The simplest definition of lore-friendly is "does not conflict with Elder Scrolls' lore/universe".
By that definition, there is no "lore-friendly but not to Elder Scroll's lore" since the author modifies, uhh... an Elder Scrolls game. With an Elder Scrolls' lore.
It's nice that the author tries to fit in his creation by lending elements that is shown in the game of Skyrim, but The Elder Scrolls' lore extends beyond Skyrim (there was Oblivion, Morrowind, and Arena, just to mention the most popular) - and its extensive lore is one thing Bethesda could be proud of.
As it is stands now, the mod is not "lore-friendly", since Jarvan doesn't seem to have the pre-requirements. Akatosh cannot normally manifest in human form. The last he did so was in the body of Martin Septim. Even so, it was achieved by Martin having a dragon-blood in his veins (as the son of Septim) and him breaking the legendary Amulet of Kings.
Long story short: nice mod, but I don't think the "lore-friendly" information is necessary. If anything, it might confuse die-hard lore fans like 225598. It's already a good mod without the "lore-friendly" stuff.
Unit076 - I am well aware of the Elder Scrolls lore, I have played more and read more than just what Skyrim offers. You have misunderstood, where did you get the idea that Akatosh is manifested in human form in this mod? To be an exemplar of something, is to be a champion of something. It doesn't mean manifestation, so Jarvan is the champion/leading example of a warrior devoted to Akatosh, not Akatosh itself. Perhaps you haven't taken the time to read the extensive backstory of Jarvan and are only challenging the lore of this mod on the basis of assumptions. It is fair to assume that you are passionate on the Elder Scrolls series, as am I, but I must urge you to read the lore of Jarvan before you begin to judge. If you have any further issues please do PM me as I am active on the Nexus daily. Wish you the best for the new year, RG
Whops, sorry then. TBF I haven't explored much of Jarvan. The mistakes is in my part for the Jarvan, however I still think that there should be no difference in the meaning of lore-friendliness.
Just because pink unicorns aren't mentioned that doesn't mean they can't be there? Demacia doesn't exist in the Elder Scrolls universe, just that fact makes it not lore-friendly. I don't have any problems with your mod, you're just describing it as something it isn't. You can't invent a whole new island and call it "lore-friendly". Like I said, nothing wrong with not being lore-friendly but don't describe it as such.
225598 - By that definition, then no story or mod created by anyone but Bethesda themselves is "lore-friendly", but then that is the lore itself. A mod that adds a single grass to the game is therefore lore breaking since Bethesda did not put it in.So if your interpretation of the subjective term lore-friendly is the only one there can possibly be, then the term should not exist at all as it as by your definition has no meaning. Then why do you use it yourself? My mod will remain as described and further efforts by yourself and fellow trolls (None of you have taken the time to read the story of this character, instead you just look at a quote on the mod page and go ballistic) will not be heeded.
I'm also really tired of people being crybabies crying about lore friendly issues. Really? It should be nothing to complain about, if you don't find it lore friendly keep it to yourself and move on.
I find it funny he called unique voice follower when all his voice lines are ripped from the Jarvan IV voice acting from from league of legends as well as some of the story. Nothing really unique here.
.... after reading posts, idc what people think, the fact that you took the time to create it , had a lot a fun with it, and decided to share it, I haven't used yet of course but I am tracking, and kudos to you
(awwww I wansa pink unicorn, to guard my home , bandits will be to dazzled , thieves will be awe struck, thus easy capture)
by the way, I've got a little problem... I've got Convenient Horses installed, but Jarvan won't call/summon a horse whenever I ride my horse. However, I've got other followers with me, but they're summoning their horses whenever I ride my horse. It's just Jarvan who doesn't call a horse. It's a pity for him since he's named as Prince Jarvan though he's the only guy around who doesn't have a horse.
I've tried changing my load order but it's still the same, he won't summon his own horse.
I hope you can find a fix for this soon. Because I really like him as follower, the guy's awesome. And I like seeing my followers having their own horses. Thanks!

I have him at the bottom of the load order list. I'm running ATF, not UFO. Any ideas? :T
love it XD
