Thanks for the comments! @Drownedsoul I can't, it has to do with how they lay the texture on the model. The texture is square, the model is ovular and the actual image of the texture is completely circular and askew. I've tried but short of painting every pixel around the rotation or not applying a texture, that's as good as it gets. Frankly, it's hard to notice unless you are looking for it. I think.....
@2late2die that isn't true...i'm running 143 texture mods and the majority of them are at least 2k if not 4k res. the game runs completely fine for me, and when you have EVERYthing modded up to HD nothing sticks out from being "too detailed" etc. just because YOU can't run the game in a HD format doesn't mean NO one can.
Looks good. Though the top texture of the robes could use a little work, the black lines running through look weird to me. They don't match the folds. But other than that, awesome job!!
I checked out the link to the rest. I'm definitely downloading them all. Keep up the work!! You're doing a superb job.
Finally somebody gets it! All those 4k texture mods were driving me insane. For one it's a big performance hit, no matter what system you have, and like you say - it just doesn't fit with the rest of the game.
In any case, I think you've proven that you don't need to increase the file resolution to improve the quality - great job on this set and I'm looking forward to the complete NRHD mod. And I gotta say, I haven't looked at the actual files, but based on the comparison shots, I get the impression that the originals are either way over-compressed or they ran them all through a blur filter for some reason.
P.S. So what's with dwarven helms on all the comparison shots NPCs, did they ask you not to expose their identity?
@sandird. Lol, It's OK if you don't see the difference. It all started as a personal mod I decided to upload, so it might not be for everyone.
But if you like; the point is to assimilate into the environment without sticking out like a sore thumb. Try looking closer at "fibers" in the clothes, there's a threaded pattern. I also painted faint shadows which are hard to tell in the comparison shot.
But no worries if you can't see it. Thanks for taking the time to look at-least.
