everytime i go out of lich form i lost 100 hp until i died i removed the mod and it stopped thank god i turned off the mod and its all better except my hp and magicka are perma red had to set av my hp and magic so i wouldnt have to worry about them again. thought id let this glitch be known. update- the problem is with the essence perk trees when you turn human you LOSE the hp and magicka you got as a lich and it cuts into your ACTUAL stats reducing them permanently if you dont use those everything else seems fine.
Hey i used to use this a long time ago. Someone mentioned that there was a console command to just add perk tree points and im honestly way too lazy to get souls or whatever, so can i just get the console command to add perk points? thanks.
Open up the console type in "Player.additem 0002e504" and type in how many soul gems you need and then you're pretty much done, just need to unlock them in the MCM list by clicking on what you want.
This is a rather nice addition to Undeath. Might I suggest that instead of convering black souls to points, would it be possible to make it more like the transformations in game? When you kill something in Lich form you would level up, maybe absorb the souls like you do those of dragons.
The Slider with the black soul gems being consumed was the cleaniest way. I tried to implement the system you said before in older versions but it ended up not working properly (and so players ended up having to use console and change the global) plus, using black soul gems to streghen the lich form is reasonably within the lore.
Other than that is the latest version ok? I tested it by giving myself transformation power and questline flags through the console so someone who completed Undeath properly would be valuable feedback.
Note: Make sure to buy perks in human form they are added/removed as you transform into a Lich/human.
I will stop work on this mod since by the end of the year Antioch will be probably resume his work, the other reason for that is that all the ways in my tests are causing conflicts with other mods such as Acquisitive soul gems.
I already sent him a message giving him info on this mod. Therefore, this mod will have work resumed either by Antioch himself(inside undeath itself) or me by the end of the year. In case he does implement a perk tree system this mod will then be erased.
Yea those are golden questions, I would love to find out if he is planning on more updates for Undeath. I will keep a eye out on this mod Roxus13, glad someone is giving the perk tree a go.
3: Compatibility This mod will likely conflict with other mods that change vanilla playable races and be incompatible with custom races as of the current release. Which means the perks will be added but not removed.
Vampires count as separate race in skyrim, would this mod blow vampire overhauls up ?
It has no problems with the most Skyrim Redone modules, but the race module might affect devouring souls and removing the perks when you are outside of lich form.
I am currently trying to find a way to implement those without those issues. Other than that nothing happened in my play tests.
That's correct, but that wasn't the question. I got, like all people on the nexus, not just one single character i'm playing with and i don't feel like swapping mods everytime i'm playing a different savegame. Hence i asked if this mod would blow up vampire overhauls, undeath doesn't, but i don't know to what extent your modification gets to the races so i'm asking.
I have an idea how about a perk at high lvl that lets you bind your soul to a Phylactery, this makes you immortal and can't be killed. But for the sake of gameplay if you are injured enough to bring you to your knee's there is a MCM selectable percent chance that you will drop your Phylactery and brake it making you killable and mortal again. If you escape with your life you can spend a MCM selectable amount of souls gems to build another ???.
I have made the spanish translation of Undeath a while ago, and I discovered that Antioch planned something like a quest to get the Staff of Worms from Oblivion. He even made the enchantment for the artifact but he didn't make a custom model for it, the enchantment would empower the Staff with the trapped souls of dead enemies. Do you think this could be a mean for store the souls and get the perk points for your mod?
@ Mad, the Phylactery doesn't work like that but that IS a great mechanic I've been reproducing with a mod that lets you revive using Dragon Souls. Perhaps something similar can be done but instead uses charges saved or black soul gems (grand)?
Presence of Death could get removed in favor of that ability.
Say for balance purposes the ability would look like this?
*insert name*
rank 1
When the Lich is dealt a fatal blow, after a time, the Lich will revive by consuming 10 Black Soul Gems (grand) from your inventory.
each rank decreases the amount of black soul gems needed and the pause in between revives.
I'd also suggest a passive perk that increases the magnitude of the Lich form spells (perhaps to balance this out it could require previous perks to ensure that the magnitude is given when the Lich form starts becoming obsolete as to not overpower at the "early" levels), they get quite underpowered at high levels.
Nice idea diyeath for a perk indeed. The only problem is exactly how to change player death related events without conflifiting with mods like Dance of Death.
In a remake of "Truly Undead" that I made, everything was set up player should revive too, but it seems player death is handled differently and possibly hard-coded which would require a roundabout way.
Some modders have been able to indeed change death by creating bleedout events generated right before death, but I am yet to see someone able to make the player actually day, ceasing enemies' attacks/hostility as he is a corpse, and then revive/cast revive spell on himself. Entering bleedout is then the only current way to apparently change how player death is handled.
Sorry for the long text. And since no one manifested yet I have to ask is everything working now? I am unable to play skyrim on my current machine. Openning Creation kit is all it can do.
EDIT: Typos and removing text that had double meaning, it was really unintended.
Pretty much, bleedout+a forced Lich transformation when the player revives is the only thing I can think of that would make this concept work as a Lich ability without making it overpowered and allowing it to make logical sense as an ability.
I use Dance of Death and Death Souls, they don't conflict with each other so I'd imagine if you did it the same way death souls does your mod would be compatible with stuff like Deadly Mutilation/Dance of Death.
A way to increase movement speed, sprinting doesnt seem to work for the Lich. A way to pseudo fly maybe ? since the Lich already is already floating around, could also be a perk that drastically reduces fall damage. A way so the Lich can equip spells for both hands, and maybe more spells to choose from.
I know your no longer working on this mod but I have an idea for a perk. Undead perception would be a perk which increase rate of getting skill points. I think the maximum bonus should be around 80% and could replace the presence of death.
Read the D& Monster manual on undead and Liches, it's retty much a must read because it's pretty much got aptly named necromancer perks and things similar to skil ltrees and the like that would do well to be inplemented in the game.
Hi! I have a problem with this mod, maybe someone have the same problem. The perk doens't work, i don't know how to absorb the souls, and i also try to trap the souls in the gems when i was human, but the lich park says "Requires 13 souls". Can you help please? I take this opportunity to say that this mod is very very interesting. The author has had a great idea

chosing the increased hp gives a hp reduction related to the rank of the boost.
i had rank 7, every transformation reduced my hp by 70, wich as a mage is very noticable

Would very much like to hear how he's doing.
Now you can exchange perk points in exchange for filled black soul gems, it's the last tab on the MCM menu: Lich Perks.
Now it should work just fine and without the need for using console commands.
compatible with skyrim redone?
