I've decided I can't move on from this mod until I try to address the two most requested items: HearthFire compatibility and more displays for trophy collectables like Dragon Claws. Stay turned as I try to figure them out...
EDIT#1: one down, one to go! EDIT#2: two down... finished!
Thanks to everyone who downloaded and endorsed this mod! Your support and feedback kept me going after more than a year since initial release.
Hi! I loved having Dragonsmount on Oldrim it was my favorite house hands down!! I wanted to know if there is any chance on porting it to Special Edition?! If so YAYYYYY! If not could I give it a shot? I am an absolute noob at the Creation Kit and would love to learn a little by attempting to port. Hope you are well thanks!
It does convert to SE simply using creation kit and re-saving from 43 to 44. The building is in the Skyrim worldspace, and entering works. You cant use the library or display patches, the scripts do not work in SE afaik. Will post more if there are other problems.
UPDATE: ownership (and marriage and adoption) does not work, even with the provided patch, converted to 44, moving things around in the load order and other easy attempts to fix.
ALTERNATIVELY, there is a "version" of this for SE (greatly expanded with some extra, non-canon features, making it a Hogwart-ish boarding school for kids) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/271?tab=files This SE conversion is a _radically_ different design philosophy than Dragonsmount's appealing "less is more" approach.
When I installed this mod it didn't ask me to overwrite anything. After installing this mod it always crash when I summon Dremora. After uninstalling this mod, game is not crashing when summoning Dremora.
I downloded this house, which is great btw, as well as multiple adoptions but I cant seem to use the bless home spell to move my family there. When I try it says "this is not one of my homes". Is there something obvious im missing or has anyone else encountered a similar issue?
I still cant move my wife there. I got it to let me bless the home and such to work but there just isn't an option when I talk to her to move her from breeze home to dragonsmount. Am I missing something or will it not work?
So there wasn't an option to move my wife there when I got married so i went back to see if i missed something and saw the "bless this home" spell for hearthsfire and decided to see if that was the problem. Went to "bless the home" and it says across the screen that the house isn't mine. Iv'e re-read the description a million times but can't find anything about a deed or the like. I don't know if I'm just blind or its hidden somewhere. If anyone knows how to fix it please help!
I gotta say I love the idea of this mod. Simple and elegant with plenty of room and not a lot of clutter. It's pretty close to what I would actually do if I were able to make a mod (yes i've tried). There are very few things I would change. Thank you. I haven't had this mod very long and the only thing i've found is when you first go in the main hall there is a room on the right with a bag of coins. I can pick it up and move it but I can't collect it and have the money..lol I would, however, suggest an option to tell your follower to make this their home or something. I had a follower that I downloaded leave and go somewhere else when I dismissed her. Again thank you.
