Works on my character until they become a vampire and then the ears are lost.

I just tried becoming a vampire and was able to keep the ears. Do you have any other vampire mods?

You are probably running a mod that effects vampires in some way if you experiment moving this mod either above or below that mod you may be able to keep the ears

I too lose the ears when I become a vampire. I went through all my vampire mods, disabling them one at a time, but to no avail. the only one that it could still be is Dawnguard.

Just opened the .esp in the CK, and according to what I found there. Vampires are supposed to be supported. So something is definitely causing interference.

I have the exact same problem. I only use Better Vampire, and Dawnguard as vampire mods. So it must be one of those. Gonna have to start a new game if I wanna deactivate them though. If I try deactivating them now, the game just CTD on startup.

Old old post I know. But if anyone else still got these issues. Just load EVERYTHING you got into TESVEdit and then check this mod out in the list, you should be able to quickly find the culprit.

      Vampire or vampire lord?

VampireLordReplacerFemaleHead.nif is the nif files that gets used when you are in vampire lord form, replace with this nif to fix that.

Don't know if there is a separate femalehead.nif equivalent for just ordinary vampires, but if so it needs to be replaced with the nif from this mod.

And as others mentioned, if you have vampire mods that add another file path for a different vampire female head nif then that needs to be replaced too.

Was gonna make this mod myself, due to comments I saw in original post. Saves me the hassle

Personally using the ears on one of my followers (managed to give her a special head without effecting the rest of the race )

well it seems if you change the head of this after installing you revert back to the default ears .. and if you start a new gameback to default ears ..alwell was nice while it lasted ..Perhaps I am doing something wrong here

Actually this mod will effect all elven NPCs if you place it either before any NPC overhauls but after any facial mods

No. Using the original as well will actually prevent it from working.

Make sure the original isn't installed. If any of the original numenume .nif files are still in your data folder for other races they will still be applied. Try copying the Skyrim default "femalehead.nif" into the folders for the non-elf classes (found under the "Meshes" folder). If you need the default .nifs you can get them from the .bsa
