Thank you everyone for downloading and posting! I want to make this mod appeal to as much people as possible so if you have any concerns, questions, suggestions, by all means, let me know. If anyone wants additional colors I can do that too. I have read all your concerns and I want to address those in the near future. Here are some future plans:
- Create hi-res leather versions. Possibly as separate gloves or to replace these, tell me what you guys want. - Add more color options, I will probably add 2 or 3 more colors depending on popular demand. - Add gloveless bracers from other armor sets (hide, leather, iron, steel, etc). - Separate slot so you can mix and match them with any of the half gloves. - Leveled lists? Still doing a bit of research on this one so if anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate the help!
Thanks again for your questions and concerns. Since the mod is still in early release, your words are all very appreciated. Remember to keep an eye out for this mod because there will be multiple updates in the future!
I think that it would be better if you preserved both textures, maybe in updated form. Leather gloves as light armor and those from linen change to plain clothing for mages among us.
That's probably because all the mod is about is just a change of the color of the Dark-brotherhood Gloves. Exactly the same, just brownish color. Won't be surprised if they still appear red in 1st person, needs some fixing with the Creation Kit.
I have looked into it without any luck. So far, only the female models have this issue... changing the texture set within the armor addon windows did nothing.
Edit: common issue reported by JobVanDen here as well:
"To fix the female gloves get rid of the first person model for females, like remove the file path that points to the nif, make it blank. It's a weird bug, female 1st person models don't work with textures sets, I've encountered it many times.
In exchange for this info you think I could use your textures in my own mod? I won't be offended if you say no, really I won't.
EDIT: Also if the 1st person female hands now look like male hands or you feel they just don't look right remove the male 1st person model as well."
@hawkenexus: Thanks for the info! I have the immersive 1st person mod & I almost didn't download this because of that bug. Glad to know there's a fix! :)
Edit: they are working - craftable and enchantable but not improveable we need a port and update for our sneaky Kajhiit Assassin, pls someone hear my call !
You can fix female color in 1stperson by using Xedit, look into *Armor Addon*Female 1st Person*MO5S Alternate Textures* you can see here it's blank, just click add and then drag *MO3S Alternate Textures* from *Female world model* to *MO5S Alternate Textures*
I looked at the mod in the CK, and there are a few issues that may be causing the first person female glove red thing. The first person slot in the add on is pointing to the vanilla dark brotherhood gloves. It should be left blank and the file path to the mesh should be in the bipedal slot instead. The additional races area does not have argonian and khajiit races selected. This may be why my khajiit's wrists disappeared in first person mode. You need to upload the meshes and textures in an organized format with the mod. To do this, simply place the bsa file and the organized meshes/textures in one folder. Click on the folder, and use WinRar to create a RAR. If you unpack the rar, it should give you a folder with both the bsa and meshes and textures. When organizing the textures and meshes, It should look something like this: data/meshes/clothes/HalfGlove Placing the files in their own folder makes it a lot easier for you and mod users to locate the files for bug testing or editing in the future instead of them being in a generic, vanilla game folder. It also enables users to fix the mod themselves if time is not permissible. As for your question on Leveled Lists, I can explain a little bit. Leveled Lists are the game's system of placing objects into the world, as loot from dungeons and dead bodies, wares of a merchant, and so forth. If an object is not in a leveled list, the game cannot access it and it will never appear in game. There are a lot of different categories that contain different leveled lists, sort of like a complicated russian doll set, but the only thing you need to do is add your items to the base leveled list, that is, the one for clothing or armor. If you want the item to be found on bandit's bodies or be sold from blacksmith shops, you can place them in the appropriate leveled list. You may notice that items have a different level in the list itself. This level determines the items rarity and what level you need to be in order to see the item. For example, a garnet has a lower level than diamond, and will appear more commonly and at lower levels of the game before diamond.
