I had an issue similar to this, and I found out later it was tied to my useage of an ENB. When ever I would type "Shift-B" to make a capital letter "B" it would actually cause some enb function to activate. I found also by just Shift B-ing again until things started moving again would fix it without issue. I've no clue if this is what ails you, but I hope it help.
Great mod, but I've got a problem that seemingly no one else has with this.
After writing up to a certain point (it doesn't seem gradual, just a moment when everything flips) causes a colossal lag tank that reduces my 60 FPS down to 10 FPS. In the menu, everything's fine, but in game, on map, spells, and items my cursor moves like a stop-animation slow walk. It's mad how much it suddenly bottoms out. I think it's a memory leak? But it's strange because nothing else has caused this to me so far in any other part of the game.
I think I've got a pretty rare case with this, but if anyone's got any ideas let me know. I can't really write anything until this gets fixed. Bit of a shame.
I have this problem too! It just recently started happening on my save for some reason. I can't even get a page in before the game's engine just... gives up.
EDIT: After some poking around, I found that it may be due to some ENB keybinds that accidentally trigger when writing. Maybe this could help solve the issue?
I have same error as D3WEY44. Found a fix. Try to make sure that no keys you are going to use in you diary are being used by any other mod. This can cause a conflict which prevents the diary from being closed.
Firstly, I'd like to express my appreciation for the mod. It is a great idea and I enjoyed having it. Unfortunately, I had to remove it because of a major error. The first couple of times it worked perfectly. Then, all of a sudden it would not let me exit. Neither the hotkey, or the exit link would work. It did not freeze because I could type and go through the chapters freely. I eventually had to shut off my laptop because of the error. It did this two more times in a row. Eventually, the mod was uninstalled, but if the error is fixed, I would happily install it again.
If you don't mind my asking, do you remember anything about when or under what circumstances this happened for you? I've noticed this issue as well, and after an hour or two of experimentation it seems that the problem only occurs after I save an entry containing an ending parenthesis—a ' ) '. I'm not quite sure why that character in particular would cause issues, but that's what I've noticed.
