Looks like they're not compatible, RND disables all vanilla sleep effects and uses a different system with its own effects. I can probably update the mod though to account for that. Check back soon.
Edit: I've now uploaded a new version that supports Realistic Needs & Diseases.
The mod seems nice but I got a problem with it. The rest bonus only seems to last 8 hours and I'll not go to sleep every 8 hours... Shouldn't the mod warn you every 16 hours or so? Or maybe change the buff duration? Maybe that is not for this mod, I guess I can do it myself. Will the mod still work if i change the rested bonus duration?
Yes, the mod will still work if you change the duration. (The 8 hour duration is the vanilla setting, it's not an issue with the mod). I might be able to add a feature to change the durations in the future, but will have to wait a few weeks at least.
does the mod pop up with the message even if you dont have any of the bonuses? i.e. does it implement after a certain amount of time without sleep? just wondering if it would fit well with this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/48081/?
The way Get Some Rest works, it will only pop up a message when one of your Rested bonuses wears off. So if you don't have a Rested bonus, it wont show any messages.
Yeah that mod is a brilliant idea as well. I think the yawn is a great idea, but I'm not interested in the additional effects (which I presume are going to be difficut to please many people and perhaps annoying if one wants to just ignore them?)... so there's definitely room for this mod here to expand *hint, hint* :p
I would look into the follower voices, I think they do have a "yawn" already, which could make for a nice additional cue along with the notification? (perhaps play it only once so it's not repetitive and can otherwise be ignored if one wants to ignore the "get rest" notification).
Another possibility is to use the follower's yawn as an additional cue so it's not coming from your own character. So making the general assumption that the followers sleep when your own character does, then the follower's yawn could be modded to happen in parrallel with this mod's notification and not otherwise. I think it would make for a nice additional cue. That would totally beat Jenassa yawning at the most inopportune times, particularly after displayed great prowess in combat.
How I can exactly personalize the message? I type in console the command: SetPVQ GetSomeRest SleepMessage "Your new message here." but don't work for me....

it really is useful.
Being able to change the duration of rest buffs would be nice as well, to 14 hours or so.
However Realistic Needs and Diseases also affects sleep mechanics and in particular the buff/debuff on the player.
Do you know if Get Some Rest is compatible with RnD?
