I would love to see this mod continue to be developed! I am unable to install it at the moment as i am having some scripting issues with a few mods that i use heavily which are resulting in some instabilities with my game at the moment but i will certainly download and endorse it in the hopes that you will continue to make it great.
Try Save Game Script Cleaner by Hadoram (www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363), a new utility that will rid your game of orphaned scripts/orphaned script instances that result from uninstalling mods from your game. I've used this utility several times & I can attest to it working without a hitch. As an added bonus, it also resets the havok data cache, ridding the game of all that garbage data that bogs down game performance & speeds up loading times close to when you first started the game. Hope this helps restore some stability to your game. Peace.
Nice to see that someone had this idea as well. I've been thinking about trying to make a mod that adds a quest to change the shape of your familiar into a dragon like this, since the Dragonborn having a wolf familiar is a little odd. I figured it would be the most lore-friendly way of having a toy-sized dragon as a pet in skyrim(what with all of the being created by Akatosh, presumably as they are). You could probably have it start by talking to a researcher at the College of Winterhold above a certain conjuration level so that you can summon a spectral version of a dragon. After a while, you can then talk to the mage again to begin another quest to find an item to take to the Atronach Forge to give the dragon familiar a physical form so he can exist indefinitely, maybe giving the player some magic buffs when near (like they are some kind of magical focal point). Or maybe take earlier idea about the name and make it so that the player can name him. I hope you like the idea and put it in the mod, or if you don't want to do the work, maybe I could give it a shot at making the quest. Let me know what you think.
Hello. Having toy sized dragon kid as a follower is a very good idea. Even lore friendly in some way. If you could come up with some quest. Something about "saving last dragon egg" perhaps. Right now it's very buggy, glitchy and unplayable as is "Dave The Talking Dragon" ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8808/? ). 1. Walking. He clip through obstacles (like stairs) when move into them. When step off an obstacle he do not move down to ground but keep walking through air. looks awkward. 2. Flying. Amazing that he can fly at all. But he fly on the same high as all dragons do and it's too high. He become almost not visible in the skies. He fly up too fast, and fly down toooo slow. 3. Attacking. Once i saw him attacking while airborn. Wooow! But that happen when he was on 2-3 meters above ground. After that he flies in the sky high. Make him fly on human height! 4. Sound. He make same loud sounds when walking, flying and landing as big dragons do. It's ridiculous. However, khajiit voice suites him well 5. Following. When not in fight he trying to follow "on foot". That's toooo slow and it would be more efficient if he could catch up with player by flying. 6. He conflict with AFT, and there is no option to dismiss him to fix this bug, like it's works, for example, with Inigo.
If you will continue work on him, please, never make him pack mule or poor custom voiced. Also, option to choose skins would be great. I will keep an eye on this mod, hoping for further fixes and updates
Hey Gallergar... truly interesting mod... any chance to change his name by the way, so that everyone can name it as prefers? Bruce isn't really the kinda name I would give to a dragon...
Anyway an auto-leveling'n'growing addon would make the mod truly great... looking forwards to get that!
I love the idea of your mod. and i would love to hear how you experience Bruce.
On my side of things... i find great the fact that he can fly, land. and walk without clipping his wings.
I think he still needs some work. when he walks he doesnt really go very well on going up and down hills, he clips through the ground and when he flys he never goes back to ground (unless he is in battle), even after the battle is long over. he keeps flying and clipping through the ground. even if you fast travel. he flys a bit slow and makes noises that are too loud for his size. and last and most frustrating. he doesnt attack. he just flys around when there are enemys present. I am sorry if i am a bit harsh. i hope you take it as constructive Criticism, this could be plainly my own experience. please share with me how your Bruce behaves. I really love your mod, it is something i havent seen before. has incredible potential. i have never seen a pet dragon that cute and tiny with the capacity to fly. and not clip his wings. very impressive. endorsed. all the best
thank you for your feedback and constructive criticism. it's good to know that someone is tanking the time to write a comment giving good feedback as well as good constructive criticism sack as you did so thank you. I'm grad to hear that you like the mod and you will be glad to hear that I'm on it to fix all if not most of the problems you stated. without your feedback I would not have known about certain bugs that I need to fix
No worries Gallergar, my pleasure. i hope your mod goes very far. i love what you have acomplished.
one of my skyrim dream mods is to create the same you did.. but instead of a dragon... an eagle. that would be so cool. lolz similar thing but i would have to change the body for the one of an eagle on the 3d max and conect the animations and stuff. if you are ever interested in doing something like this in the future. let me know.
