For anyone with questions about this mod you can still leave a comment here but since i haven't been checking in on them as much as i should you are welcome to send me a PM of your question if it's a really pressing and urgent matter. Thanks and sorry for my negligence.

For v5 Dynamic Shadow users! You can put it back in [dynamic exterior] shadows by adding the following line to your SkyrimPrefs.ini file (by default it's set to 1 to disable the outside radial shadow system).

    bDeferredShadows=0

This info came from @Leathersoup and all thanks go to him for providing it. Thanks again!

    Warning about enabling bDeferredShadows!
It has come to my attention from reading the comments that if you are using certain lighting mods that enabling bDeferredShadows may cause shadow pop. So for anyone using ELaFX or RLO i would suggest using the non-dynamic shadow versions. I also see there are conflicting reports that this may or may not be incompatible with CoT and CoTWP. Not sure about that but just use the non-dynamic version to be "safe".

Setting bDeferredShadows to 0 kills my darker night effects completely, sucks cuz they made dungeons so much creepier (aside from the weird glitch out where the light would disappear entirely at certain angles if another powerful shadow casting light was nearby.)

    Hi!

I think there may be something wrong with this mod (or I'm doing something wrong since I'm noob to modding lol) because with this mod installed the game froze twice while using torch in Embershard Mine (I'm not sure is it related to that only place). But after I uninstalled this mod there has been no freezing problems. Just wanted to let everyone know that this mod MAY cause freezing for some people.

This mod is beautiful, especially wth the dynamic shadows, but there is one big problem for me. When out doors at night, the torchlight fails to illuminate tree shadows. That is, if you walk under a bunch of trees with a torch it's 100% black. When I disabled the mod that went away, but so did the beautiful dynamic shadows. For the record I am also using enb, CoT and ELFX.

I see that is the text you crossed out, but I'm still getting that issue for some reason. Will do some trouble shooting.

Maybe it's my eyes. I was stating the wrong problem. Setting deferred shadows to 0 does fix that problem, but it also seems to make the night significantly brighter. This might be some conflict with my enb. I hope not.

After further investigation, it definitely seems that my enb really needs deferred shadows to be set to 1. I tested this by pressing shift+f12 to remove the enb effect, and suddenly the returned to being dark. This really sucks lol. This mod is so beautiful but at night it is impossible to see with a torch. I'll try one more thing. I will deactivate the mod and return deferred shadows to 1.

Result: night is dark again and torches work outside. It appears your mod is incompatible with Realvision enb medium, at least the externals. I'll just activate the mod when I go inside a cave. That's a doable workaround even if it's a mild inconvenience to quit and reload whenever I go in a cave, but the mod is too amazing in interiors not to.

      Okay SOLVED the issue.

All I had to do was edit interior lighting by pressing shift+enter. For some reason my enb adjusts night lighting with the interior ambiant light setting.

If anyone else is wondering about this:
This is the cause of having bdeferredshadows set to 1 in the skyrimprefs.ini. It "prefers" the shadows casted by the sun/moon and it is strictly required by ENB.
I made a workaround for this issue, but as of now my mod only support Candlelight and Chesko's Wearable Lanterns.

Looking forward to trying this. Just an observation - your "no torch" pictures have a lot of visibility; you almost don't need a torch. Mine is dark AF. Do you have other lighting mods or gamma cranked? Could be a difference in our monitors also.

Looks great in first person. However, in third person my clothes and the torch itself cast weird and ugly shadows. Is there a way to fix that? I don't have any other lighting mods to cause that glitch.

Is it safe to use a different version of the brightness/radius once you made a save file using another version?

For example, I been using the x2 brightness one and i'm already lvl 27. Unfortunately I don't really like how bright it is (it's too bright) so I want to change to a lower brightness one.

However doing this makes me scared that I will make my save file "dirty" since it will continue to look for the other esp...
