I like the white glow, but having a blue option, maybe add to the fuller of the swords too would be fun. Yes there's a mod that adds a blue glow already, but that one makes the whole blade of the sword glow. Not for me.
The white is fine to me, but having blue, with maybe a blue fuller on the swords too, would be awesome. Perfect match for the Witchplate armor mod too!
Hello. Eorlund Gray-Mane gave the assignment to investigate the smithy in Silent Moons Camp and return the lunar club. But after the return does not react. How to finish all this through the console?
Here's a suggestion for a specialty cost. There's a bandit camp near Whiterun where you can get a whole buncha mammoth tusks - maybe (unless there's a mod for it already) throw in a way to powder the tusk (maybe like 10 things of powder from one tusk) and each skyforge steel weapon gets 1-3 things of powdered mammoth tusk to make it skyforge steel? It would also add in to the white glow effect being somehow 'canon'. That and maybe the 'magic' of the forge itself...
The problem with doing it is basically that it's hard to decide how many edges to add glow to. Example: the Battleaxe has a little stabby thing on top of the head; do I add glow to that? Some people might like it, and some people might not... The Warhammer will get no edges with glow, so do I add it on the hammer-impact-surface to compensate? Again, some people might like it, others won't... The Mace has sharp edges, but is still categorized as a blunt weapon; do I add lighting to those or not? Some will like, others won't.
This is the general problem I run into with requests like this; it is simply not possible to please everyone at the same time, so I usually have to decline. Not that I disapprove of you requesting; I simply wish to show you my side of things.
The runes I added glow to were defined by the weapons already (except in the few places where blurriness of texture forced me to guess), so it was easy for me to add the glow to only one aspect of the weapons... I hope you understand (:
Would it be possible to add Skyforged weapons to all material types? Only craftable at the Skyforge, slightly better stats, glowy accents on the hilt and blades? That is something I've always felt was lacking in the game. I mean, the Skyforge is supposed to be a legendary forge that allows for the crafting of superior weapons, but in the vanilla game, it is practically no different from any other forge, other than it is under-equipped (no smelter or workbench? WTF?).
Honestly, I'd love to see all the blacksmiths of Skyrim who boast superior goods overhauled a bit to actually HAVE better goods than those that don't boast. But that would be a different mod.
I'm afraid this request, although not without promise, runs into the same problems as before. Without clearly defined lines (such as the ones I used on the steel weapons), I'm afraid I can't provide content on par with my own or Bethesta's work. I feel I must decline...
