Hi leaving a follow-up here as well so NOT to add to much of a burden BUT I am hoping you will add the "Forsworn Bows (actually all their weapons at some point) AS they are most closely next in line of a vanilla weapon to be improved I have tried to combine them but it does not work so I figure it hasn't been done yet BECAUSE I do have a re-texture of that bow into a wicked ancient compound Native American bow truly wicked looking I also have the latest "Scoped Bows mod" that alters the texture again when you add the scope. that saidlet me know what you need done in the CK and I can try as I have only been watching the vids to try to get familiar with it up to now hang in there.
Hey man, don't worry I will add all these in for you as soon as I can! In regard to the CK I just need people to do exactly what I have done already but just with a different material. With the armour mod I have only done Iron armour so far so if you would be happy to help me do the other armour types I would greatly appreciate it?
sure I can try, but I will need a clear step-by-step on what and how to do what you want done so just pm me or whatever and we can talk and I will learn
Hey guys, I am currently extremely busy and I am struggling to find time to get these mods done. But I still want to get them done for all you guys waiting patiently, and so I am asking for anyone with with a basic understanding of the Skyrim Creation kit who would be able to help me along with these mods? I will tell you exactly what to do and I will also give you credit for helping in the mods! Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm sorry these mods are taking so long!
I am RUINED, utterly totally ruined (NOT runed) so how am I ruined? well for several run -thrus and over 3700 hours of game time I have been the MASTER of kill-loot-upgrade - sell for a huge profit NOW I have FALLEN ... now I HOARD all vanilla weapons to combine into these works of Fe art. at +5 I upgrade and enchant and each one is UBER wicked. sheesh BUT I have hope at last I just heard of a new group in Rifkin called Vanilla Fe Anon. They say that I can be cured, but we will see sad state for a life long chocolate and spice man to turn to vanilla at this age.... Fe reakishly awesome MOD. I am so embarrassed.. Inigo found my Fudou Katana in my backpack, he says my addiction to Fe is worse than skooma, YOU Sir have single-evenhandedly saved vanilla weapons (not to mention 2 handed) and bows... and daggers hic I am getting the arrows next (due to the HUGE increase of weight) caused with hoarding weapons a Kudo for you
Hehe well I am terribly sorry for that And wow I'm glad you like the mods that much xD Thanks for using them all and thanks for the kudos! you so awesome
I like the idea of this especially for lower level equipment like iron and steel. I'm going to try it out on my next play through.
When you have the time, could you implement this feature for the weapons from Heavy Armory ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21120/? ) and Skyforge Weapons ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34147/? ) ? I didn't see any mention about skyforge steel weapons in general so I'm assuming those haven't been done?
After playing 25 levels with the mod (unrelated conflicting mods making me start anew again), I think maybe you should increase the weight of each reforged weapon or otherwise add some sort of detriment to balance out the increased damage.
EDIT: I am a dummy and did not notice the edit button right beside the reply button. Feel free to slap me with a fish.
Looks really cool and I've been wanting something like this for sometime. I assume these "reforged" items are just copies of the default item(s), with tweaked stats and readded to the crafting lists, thats fine and all, but seems really time consuming. Too bad it's not a dynamic script or something like a patcher.
Does this mod support Dragonborn & Dawnguard?
Comments: ==================== 1) I dont like that the recipes clutter the crafting menus. Can't you make a new sub-menu for "reforged" and just add all the recipes there? So its cleaner and doesn't fill up all the other menus? Because if you do armor, its gonna be a nightmare if its not organized better.
2) Adding reforged levels to +10 would be awesome. I'd love to be able to "stack" 10 steel swords into a single +10 steel sword.
3) Can you do rings, artifacts, clothing/robes and arrows? (reforge 10 iron arrows into a single +10 iron arrow, for example)?
4) Is there any way you can support other mods? Immersive weapons, Immersive armors....etc? Or is it all restricted to vanilla game items?
5) Perhaps a "reforging NPC" would be better? Give them an the materials and gold to pay for it and they "make" you the item?
Hey man, Yeah that's pretty much what the mod does and yes it is extremely time consuming. I will eventually move onto reforging items in the DLC. I may have someone helping me out with the DLC content soon, so shouldn't be too long now.
With the reforging, it's not actually every sword you use "stacking" onto the other sword to gain another + level. For example 2 steel swords becomes a single +1 sword, you now need to craft another +1 sword to then reforge these into a +2 sword. Effectively meaning that you need 40 of the base item to reach the current +5 maximum. I did it like this to try and balance it and make the items less easily obtainable.
I do like your idea about the clutter and having a "reforging" menu and I'll probably implement that in the next version.
I do also plan to add support for rings, artifacts, armours and generally every usable item.
The NPC is an interesting idea but would require me to play around a bit first and so will take a while for me to implement this.
Thanks for all the suggestions, and hopefully you'll like the improvements I make ^^
Good stuff, and I like your cumulative method of stacking +1/+1 = +2, +2/+2 = +3...etc. Smarter than stacking five "+0" swords for a single +5.
I've never worked with crafting recipes (only perks and spells), but I assume you can also enable the recipes menu to hide recipes you do not have materials for? I know this is possible as other craft mods do it. That would also be a good way of keeping the recipe lists clean as well within the "Reforged" sub-menu.
If you do arrows/bolts, be sure to also put in recipes for bulk ammo (1, 10, 100), so it's easier to convert like 100 [+1] iron arrows into like 50 [+2] iron arrows and so on.
I hope eventually there will be a Skyproc Patcher so that we can upgrade weapons from other mods too. Or maybe somehow have a leveled list option where enemies could potentially use upgraded weapons? That'll be so interesting.
It's done! the Complete pack is now available to download! Stay tuned for the 'All-In-One' pack which will have all of the items available to reforge in a single .esp file
Well if you think that to make the final +5 of any weapon you will have needed to have exactly 40 of the basic weapon to begin with, which I don't think would be that easy to obtain. Maybe with lower level weapon types like Iron but if these weapons do seem OP, players can always just up their game's difficulty ^^

I can't wait to try out the changes!
When I do the bolts and ammo I'll make sure to put it in increments of 10, 50, 100 etc
The next thing I am going to do is the seperate Reforging list as I just figured out how to do it
