Are the defensive stats on the robes raised in any way to fit the tougher look of them? I think you've written about making a standalone version, if so, as others have said before me, I highly suggest adding the robes to levelled lists for looting bodies, chests and buying at vendors, and raising the defensive stats on them. anyway, great mod, thanks for taking the time and effort to make it.
I have a question. If I install this mod, then load another mod that changes the archmage robe into something else (with a later load order of course), will it still work (ie. will the archmage robe be the second mod I installed) ?
It causes my game to crash I do have a handful of mods installed but through trial and error (including only having this mod installed) my game seems to freeze up on me. Mostly when I zone into places, but once just traveling on my horse. No one else seems to have problems though so, so maybe it is me (with this specific mod). Which is a shame because I'd rather have this then most of my other mods. Endorsed.
I really like this. It actually seems to fit more naturally into the setting of Skyrim as, it seems, any mages making their way in Skyrim would have a more hard edged, battle mage attitude in general. If you do plan on making these into separate files instead of retextures I would recommend adding them to leveled lists so they would still show up on NPCs and in shops and such, that would make it even better since it would just be adding a bit more variety! And as suggested you could make them into light armor with a slight defensive capability plus the buffs to magic. It would make mages in skyrim (as friends, enemies, or yourself) a bit more of a force to be reckoned with (as they are a bit of a bunch of squishy pushovers as it stands) regardless, great mod and I think you've done some excellent work here so far.
Do you have any plans to make these retextures into completely new items? Having these set up as armor would be truly perfect for those mages, who want to utilize armor.
This looks fantastic. Any possibility of a craftable standalone, maybe with some increased weight and armour bonus? This is a great choice for Battlemages, very much in the same vein as the Lore Friendly Armor Pack's "Dwarven Battlemage" armor. Perhaps ask nockcha, the author of that mod, a bit of advice on integrating the mod as a craftable.
