finding this mod sooner would've saved me a lot of trouble!
I'd found a different mod that silenced all music BUT the music that plays in the jarl's throneroom, which made very little sense to me (and was very obnoxious). I just had to deal with it, though, cause playing with the music slider to 0 removed a lot of little jingles I actually liked, which was also annoying!
Any chance of a tavern-only version? Love having Celtic tavern music, but tired of turning the music slider up and down every time I enter/leave a tavern...
After playing Skyrim for a long time, the music sometimes gets annoying. Sometimes I have just wanted full immersion with NO music. Goes to the settings, turn music off and every sound disappears from my game. More annoyance! And sometimes the music drowns out the banter of my followers which is pure frustration, especially with the updated Inigo. I wanted to hear his wonderful comments (even more so with the new update)! I wanted to just go hunting and camping with my followers for a couple days, enjoy the sounds of nature and relax. Very hard to do when the darn music just annoys the hello out of you!
Goes to the Holy Grail of Modded Skyrim other wise known as The Nexus in search of a solution..... searching..... OH MY STARS! I can't thank you enough for this awesome mod. Exactly what I was looking for and needing so badly. Works awesomely even with all the mods I got installed. No music... just peaceful non-music silence. THANK YOU! Definitely endorsed! )
To everyone that wants a version with tavern music untouched, it's easy to make one. Go to TES5Edit and just remove the 2 tavern records from the plugin you use (MUSTavern, MUSTavernB). Furthermore, you can tweak everything else you want this way since this mod changes only few records. Just download the full version plugin and remove any records you want to keep in game.
You can make more advanced tweaks as well. Let's say you want to keep the tavern music that is added by a mod like Fantasy Music. Load both plugins and copy the conflicting rows in the records you want (from Fantasy Music to this one). Load this plugin after Fantasy Music and you are done.
Guys, I just want you all to know that you can save up a mod slot by going pressins either esc, or START and LT, going to Audio, and just turning the music down. Personally, though, I like Skyrim's music.
Disabling music in-game will disable all music, including certain sound effects, such as finding new locations, some quest sound effects, all "discovery" sound effects, reward sound effects, and any form of music from mods, so I recommend this mod instead.
You've truly made Skyrim more immersive for me, endorsed! I would like some options though, like being able to turn on/off combat music or tavern music? For all DLC as well.
