I will no longer be maintaining this mod, nor creating any future patches; reason being I start a professional educational program soon.

--Users may do as they please with these patches.
--Thank you Nexus, Bethesda, and the community for the awesome Skyrim experience.

EDIT: Problem fixed, just need to Rebuild Lists in the Vitality menu.

    Hello,

I downloaded your patches for Merry Snowberry, Golden Rose, Real Wildlife, and the missing food fix, but not all of them seem to work. Food including Apple Dumplings, Braided Bread, Butter, and Crostatas do not restore any health according to the tooltip like they did before, just like default food in IMCN. However, when I eat them they disappear. They do not give any nutrition stats.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, could you help me out?

This looks like an awesome mod, but I just don't get it why it doesn't have patches for Realistic Needs and diseases, the most popular food mod around.

Because "Imps More Complex Needs" is an alternative "Needs" mod to "Realistic Needs and Diseases". I created patches which make various food mods compatible with IMCN.
Thus: Food Mod ---> My patch ---> IMCN = Happy !

My patches are exclusive for IMCN; if you want patches for RND, then it should be no problem as RND has an immense user base.

Lastly, if it's not already obvious, I use IMCN, not RND. That's why my incentive was to make patches for IMCN.

    Hi there.
First, can I offer a thousand thousand thanks for your patches. I had all but given up on IMCN until you came along. Now I can't imagine my Skyrim without your mods.
Secondly, can I make a request for a patch. The folks who did The Merry Snowberry have also created The Golden Rose. It's a Valentines Day themed shop with cupcakes and berry tarts, along with vanilla Skyrim treats. If you're still actively modding, would you be so kind as to take a peek at the mod and see if a patch is possible?
Again, thank you for your hard work, my Dovahkiin has never eaten so well in her life.

I'll take a look at the "Golden Rose" when I get a chance; hopefully within the next couple weeks.

Thanks a lot! I was disappointed to see that Hunterborn didn't have an IMCN patch and a Google search showed me this. It should be more popular!

Thank you for the kind words
Also, let me know if you have any problems with the new IMCN - Hunterborn patch. Although I did test prior patches, I did not test that specific one as I wanted to get it out asap to ensure those who had the new Hunterborn v1.3 were able to use it with Imps. However, It should still work without issues.

One thing people may find interesting, is that in Hunterborn v1.3 the foods were completely overhauled [see HB mod page]; thus the need for a new patch built from scratch. Be on the look out for the new "Teas" added by Hunterborn

Now, the HB foods give stamina regeneration; prior versions gave health regeneration. It doesn't matter to me, but I am sure this change will catch some people off guard. I am only stating this so others understand my patches did not change the foods; it was a change implemented by the Hunterborn author.

If you have or know of any other popular mods that may need a IMCN patch, please feel free to post here and let me know

idiot questions on the compatibililty patches for cliff racers and herbal teas:

the relevant patches for these should now cause IMCN to recognize these foods to fulfill hunger and thirst right? Because this would be the first time I ever installed compatibility patches for either of these mods.

As of now, IMCN doesn't see these as foods. So the herbal teas are treated as potions (and can be consumed when in combat etc.) unlike regular IMCN foods which typically cannot.

Also the cliff racers : will these buffs only increase your char's BAC level? Or will they do something more once IMCN recgonizes them? i.e. increase char strength, stamina etc.

Finally, since all of these patches make their respective mods IMCN compatible, does this mean that all foods made IMCN compatible will be classified as such by IMCN? i.e. so that you're restricted from consuming any of them while in combat?

      Hello! Great Questions

      1.
Yes; these patches allow food items added by the specified mods to give the player nutritional sustenance to fulfill their IMCN needs. Thus, drinks and foods will give calories/hydration.

      2.
I just checked both the "Herbal Tea" and "Osare Foods" patch, and I can confirm the patches do indeed block the ability to consume foods [and receive nutritional stats] while in combat; see recent additions to the image section.

However, there are 2 unfortunates to this.
--The patch does not prevent the foods from applying their magic effects to the player. I am not sure if there is a way to prevent this from happening; perhaps this is why Imp nullified [zero`ed out] the effects vanilla foods/drinks give to the player.

--In addition, when IMCN refunds the food, it will not give you the "food item" added by a mod, but instead gives you a vanilla replacement.
It should be reiterated that my patch process implements a "generic" keyword process that classifies each new "food item" into a general category [like tea, cheese, meat, bread]. Because of this, when you click on the "food item" added by a mod while in combat, instead of IMCN refunding you that specific "food item", IMCN will instead refund you a vanilla food-item from that same food category.

For example: if I click on a tea added by the mod "Herbal Tea" while in combat, IMCN will instead refund me a vanilla tea item. Please see the attached pictures in the image section for more info.

Unfortunately, this "refund" bug is a limitation of the current patch process. Although, I'll shoot Imp a message and see if it can be addressed or not.

      3.
As for the Cliffracer patch, I just rechecked my patch and the cliffracer mod [in TES5Edit]. I have the 2 new ingestibles added by Cliffraces categorized as raw-meat [cliffracer tail] and stew [cliffracer stew].
The original mod does not have them tied to any alcoholic drinks, so they should not increase your BAC [blood alcohol level]. As for any additional effects, these 2 specific items are pretty benign, and thus IMCN won't do anything special [although, since Cliffracer Tail is categorized as a Raw-Meat, it has the chance of giving the player a disease if consumed raw; see images].

However, this is not true for the "Herbal Tea" mod; since they are categorized as "Tea" they should give you a caffeine effect, which should increase your stamina abilities, etc... [this also applies for alcoholic drinks my patch addresses].
      See images.

Thanks for the feedback and +Kudos; I will add some of these new revelations to the description page.
      Cheers!

Hello! This is not a request for a compatibility patch, but I'd like to ask if you could probably fix these issues in "vanilla" IMCN:

    Q. Why isn't spoilage working?
    A. There was an error in one of the scripts in update v0.31 that prevents the mod's lists of perishable foods from being built. It will be working after the next update.

    Q. The eating menu won't pop up for some foods when I try to eat them.
    A. A list has been compiled of foods that aren't working, and they'll be fixed by the next update:
Cabbage Soup, Mudcrab Legs, Potato Soup, Sadri's Sujumma, Sliced Goat cheese, Salmon Steak (Hearthfire version)

I can't do it myself, but I'd like to eat Sliced Goat cheese and potato soup (in Skyrim)...

I'll take a look at the food items that don't register [no guarantees].

As for the "spoilage" I believe that is script based, which I have a very little understanding of how Skyrim scripts function; I have no idea how to edit/create them.

If I create a "spoilage" patch, it could be so poorly written, they it may make "upgrading" to IMCN v0.32 impossible; then you would have to start a new game to use v0.32. In otherwords, I would wait for Imp to release v0.32; hopefully that will be soon. You may want to also check out Imps STEAM Workshop Mod page.

I've also noticed this too. Besides this, the ice wraith tooth that Marise Arvelj's gives you (after you complete her quest in Riften) no longer seems to preserve or refridgerate the food in your inventory or container. So my guess is that these 2 scripts would be related somehow to each other?

Prior to the 0.31 patch, food would spoil in my char inventory/chest without a crystal in it. Something went wonky in the 0.31 patch it seems

TEST version of "Missing Foods Fix" for IMCN v0.31 now available.
Please leave a comment if you discover any addition foods that are not being recognized and need to be addressed [be sure to also mention the food item on Imps main page].

Thanks for the feedback; it was very helpful.

      I have uploaded a FOMOD installer version of the Missing Foods Fix that allows you to choose the patch you want to install;
      --all DLCs version
      --Hearthfires Only version
      --Dragonborn Only version.

Let me know what you think of the patch. Again, it is a TEST version so feedback is welcomed

Thanks; Hearthfire Version tested and works so far (haven't tested all the missing foods yet though).

BUT! Concerning the SLICED GOAT CHEESE: When eating sliced Eidar cheese, in "vanilla" IMCN you get for sliced eidaar cheese 7 pieces of eidar cheese wedges (you only eat a piece, and put the rest in your inventory). When eating a goat cheese wheel you get 8 pieces of goat cheese wedges.

Would it be possible to make eating sliced goat cheese give you less calories, but add 7 pieces of goat cheese wedges in your inventory? That would mean, you only eat a wedge, and keep the rest for later.

Using the current method, that is something I can't do [I wish I could]. The refund of foods [sliced cheese to cheese wedges], relates to IMCN scripts, which I don't know how to tweak [and I don't want to because it could screw up your save AND/OR make it so you can't upgrade to v0.32 once it's released]. This is something that should be addressed by Imp himself.

As for the calories, I use a pre-defined food category that was implemented by Imp; I use the keyword IMCNgenericCheese.
This keyword tells the main IMCN mod to apply the nutritional stats of cheese, and the hydration/protein/appeal of cheese. The only way to "tweak" the nutritional stats of a food, is to classify it as something else [Bread: Sat-27, Cal-42, Hyd-23; or Cooked Fish: Sat-34, Cal-53, Hyd-14; among others]. However, if I did classify the "Sliced Goat Cheese" as a "Bread" or "Cooked Fish", then IMCN would take that keyword, and also apply the protein levels of a fish to cheese, or the carb levels of bread to cheese [which I would not like].

The best I can do until Imp releases v0.32 is to get the "Sliced Goat Cheese" to be recognized by the main IMCN mod; I know it's not perfect. I will ask Imp if he can add more "generic" keyword categories to IMCN, so it will allow for a greater diversity of foods [and portions] when creating compatibility patches.

Lastly, to actually do the above changes, one would have to go into the main IMCN module and change it. Even if I could do that, the "Permissions" of IMCN and the Nexus would not allow me to upload that file for others to use. Our best bet is to wait for v0.32 for those changes.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. I am also happy to hear the foods are being recognized by IMCN now.
Sorry for the long response, and have a great Thanksgiving !
