I'll go upload some screenshots showing the cauldron in question. Also make sure the ESP is not only present in your Data folder but also turned on via a mod manager or Skyrim's launcher.
Even though my current character isn't even a vampire, I really liked the idea of sunlight-proof cloak. Besides, I already love how the shadow aura looked from Ebony Mail and Shadow Warrior perk (it'd look awesome if there would be an invisibility+muffle spell which uses this visual effect, but anyway), so your mod is definitely awesome. But I should say that this mod is not lore friendly at all. Because Boethiah(as his namesake for this cloak) and Molag Bal(creator of vampires) are enemies according to lore, and I don't think Boethiah would create something to empower a minion of his enemy.
I have thought about this. Aside from popular demand the way I logic it out is that Boethiah's cloak doesn't actually protect Vampires specifically. The shrouding effect blocks light - all light, including sunlight.
I'm open to possible Molag Bal mods to implement instead of having it attached to Boethiah's (Molag's just not a very sneaky sort).
Now it works perfect.You must be from the few who succeeded with this, since I haven't seen any other mod to make armor-amulet etc. and has affect on Vampire lord (like bat-gargoyle amulets).I like to see mods to make unique armors for Vampire lord (just saying).
You can find retextures all over the place but it took me four days and the tireless efforts of an entire forum to figure it out. I wrote everything down too, no one should have to go through that again XD
if wearing this cloak,does it make you more sneaky,or does it protect against sunlight for vampires? or is just the smoky effect only when putting this on?
Currently it only grants the smokiness. The original artifact applies a muffle effect that nullifies any sound you make while walking, armored or not, I'll whip up an optional file that still includes that. As for sun damage... that's a good idea. I'll look into it, but no promises. Until that happens - I recommend THIS mod!
i've got another idea to make when you putting the cloak on aswell, like you are the same corupted kind who are ruin the tempel of this daedric goddess. so they won't attack you but see you as friendly ( for very evil players ) lol if you have that cloak on all npc's see you as enemy or so
Sadly, Boethiah has a very... interesting view regarding her followers. Followers of Boethiah have a sort of motto, inscribed backwards on the altar at her shrine - "I am alive because that one is dead. I exist because I have the will to do so." Now, I probably COULD make her followers permanently friendly... but it wouldn't be very lore friendly. I'll have a look at it, see about making an optional file. It may never happen 'cause it might break her quest and a couple other things.
It'd be really easy to make everyone hate you when you have it on.
it's not realy not lore friendly if when putting this cloak on and being a bad one if the player doesn't wanto be the hero atall, but instead became like a bandit or creature when you put that cape on.
afterall this game is great to make it a good or evil game to roleplay in. allways playing a nice person in a game i dislike,special when you can create this cool mods.
as an alternate version for those who wanting to play as a bad person and not doing anything about the dragons invasion.
( i wouln'd do the main quest anyways often becuz i love to roleplay a bad or evil player or creature,i play so many times skyrim over and over with the main quest,making many new kinda players to start a new evil adventure,with this cape it would be an opportunity to become that evil way in a different light if you like to make it evil )
like a cape when putting on you become faction with predators or creatures,and npc's will kill you on sight lol
no hard feelings if you don't wanting to make it though it's just an idea.
