you're an absolute lifesaver for this one homie. Installed with vortex on the latest AE version without issue, fixed touring carriages for me when nothing else seemed to do anything.

    SSE users:

I had a lot of issues with Touring Carriages (SSE) with the cart flipping out all over the place. I have far too many mods to determine what the cause was. This mod isn't available for SE, but I tried just installing it as is, no converting at all.
I just asked Vortex to install this file after downloading manually, so far I've had no issues, it works fine :)

+1 to this. I followed your instructions and so far the carriage don't go crazy when the trip just starts. And yes, i'm playing SSE.

The reliable fix is Prisoner Cart Fix.  Works for me every time. I've been using it for years, with every build-out, on three different computers.

THIS mod (CCHPF for short) only works if you're a Touring Carriages user.  Even then it might only work for the touring carriages not the game-start prisoner cart.  Given that both mods just fix one mesh to ignore Havok physics (a different mesh in each case), I would think that TC users should install both PCF and CCHPF.  Non-TC users should just install PCF.

Can anybody tell me wether this makes Touring Carriages compatible with Skyrim Bridges?
I really want to try out TC but I don't wanna do without Skyrim Bridges >__<
A clear answer would be very much appreciated.

    Edit:
I tried it myself - all in all it worked fine. I tested the route from Whiterun to Windhelm. I don't know how bumpy or glitchy riding on the bridges would have been without this mod, but with it, 2 bridges were completely unproblematic. The third bridge caused problems though. The horse ended up turning around and remained standing there. I tried reseting it with "resetAI" and it started moving again, the carriage bugged out and flipped over totally, but it managed to get going again after a second or two. Passing the fourth bridge was a little bumpy but fine.
However, I noticed that I was not able to stop somewhere along the way, sleep nor ask the driver to hurry, which should be possible according to the mod page of Touring Carriages...? I don't know wether this is caused by this fix.

    EDIT:
Regarding the dialogue issues, I read that if you use Bathing in Skyrim for some reason you need to have bathed at least once before hiring a carriage for the dialogue to work. Did that, and the dialogue options worked. Testing the same route again, the horse got stuck at the same spot again and ended up walking back and forth, the carriage standing in its way. Using the option to sleep through the rest of the ride let me arrive at my destination.
