Updated the mod with a bunch of new amazing features and the most recent update includes more hair and facial hair options.
To install the mod just drag and drop the contents into the Data folder of your Skyrim directory. I suggest installing it manually instead of using NMM. There's the ESP and ESM. The ESM version is for those who had the older version of the mod installed. However, if you want to go with the ESP version be my guest since you can edit the followers' appearance to your liking. Pick whichever one you want.
In the latest update I fixed a few things, like the club's sound and behavior, the club's position for playable females, the female wrist textures, and a small issue with the mammoth mount. I also removed the bsa's and replaced them with loose files. Report any other issues you find.
Sorry if you answerd this already, but do you think my giant character will be fine if I created him with the steam version of this mod and then switch over to the nexus version? (I would turn off the steam version and then use the nexus version)
Not sure. All I can say is the Steam version uses the ESP version, so if you plan on switching over to the one on nexus, use the ESP one too. But overall I suggest you stick to the one here on nexus, for some reason steam is really buggy for me.
CAN you tell me a console command to set my race to the playable giant race and then showracemenu to change it fully while keeping my stats i am lvl 81
hey, I love this mod but have a slight problem. I'm using SOS which on it's on isn't a problem. but should something happen that makes my male characters loose his body clothing my game crashes. is there a wy that you could make a sos patch?
I support the idea. It would be great to see this in SSE, especially if it was compatible with Show Race and Show Race Menu Alternative. Thank you very much for your attention.
I ported this mod for my personal use with CAO (cathedral assets optimizer). And it works just fine, however please note that if the giant lose their clothing or you will change their armor the breast will stretch to infinity and float, the giant bodies uses the old CBBE bones very likely, and as a result can be the result of crashes if you're not careful. I would have fixed that myself, but unfortunately its not the same as porting an outfit or changing a followers body, the outfit studio loads a giant body which you cant replicate with a normal reference.
Because this never got switched over to SE or AE I've resorted to an collection of other mods and console commands to synthesize a biomechanically sensible giant. Orc Overhaul with the largest size of orcs for starters, and then racemenu even if you can't get all its features to work [I had it working until AE, and then bare minimum again]. I go so far as to make eyes and ears small, but mouth and nose large [again, biomechanics reasons], and widen up whatever other features I can.
Then create whatever character and after generation into the game console it over to being an orc. The hair, colors, and non-racial features will remain the same. If you have Ordinator use the perk XX0878e5 to give immunity to stagger- because you're huge. *Yes, I went through and parceled out a lot of Ordinator's perks and spell effects to be turned on permanently.*
The base game has perks for damage multipliers, but also coding in the perk e40c0 will double whatever other multipliers are in place and reduce damage same as the orcs' berserker ability, just that it's always on without vision distortions. I tend to give my character the Nordic Carved gauntlets and boots, because that reinforces the idea that giant proportions have to be bulkier relative to height. Think how dwarves are built in other franchises. Downloading Mighty Weapons [and Demon Hunter Crossbows] lets you have two-handed swords that are one-hand in use. The Knockback Power mod doesn't work on altered skeletons, or else I'd have giants knocking enemies out of the park [not quite Skyrim Space Program level, but impressive].
Feel free to swipe all these ideas for this or another mod, because honestly I don't know how to mod for Skyrim.
you can port it yourself, use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4089?tab=description it takes like 2 minutes, just install the mod onto skyrim special edition, open up SSE Nif Optimizer.exe, copy and paste the location of the playable giant race's meshes folder and hit optimize the meshes folder is in the bsa file, which mod organizer allows you to unpack when you install the mod, but if you don't use mod organizer it's fairly easy to find a tool to unpack the file
If you mean me, I think Orc Overhaul might need Race Compatibility. However, since then I got a hold of HIMBO for Race Menu and used that to simulate larger bulk without resorting to the race switch in console commands, so now I just wrap the character around Nord for the innate frost resistance.
such a shame this still isnt ported and mod author almost never responded to people wanting a port, whatever happened to mihail doing it and sending it to spike smh this whole thing is a shame
If you want to play in the Skyrim Special Edition You must install [ XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE ] find the male and female bone files and replace the original bone files. Remember, the file name should be changed to the same as the original. ———————————————————————————————————————————— You can find my other answer here: https : //www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57861
Hey I know this is mod is kinda old, but it'd be great if someone could update it to play on Skyrims special edition. I know it's a lot to ask, but I just dont have the skills to do it myself, and it be great to play this.
Is it possible to make a version that doesnt require dawnguard or dragonborn? I dont have the DLC yet but this mods seems really good and interesting, of course, I understand if it isnt possible.

Also, do you know of a video that shows how?
