I just spent about two hours debugging an incompatibility between this mod and USLEEP. Fortunately, it is dead simple to fix once you know what the issue is:
The symptom is that, when you use Throw Voice, you will hear a generic "Hey!" line instead of an actual insult. This mod does contain insults, but they are not playing correctly. USLEEP determined that this was broken in vanilla (no voice lines were playing at all) and implemented the "Hey!" line because they didn't have any better assets to work with (see https://afktrack.iguanadons.net/index.php?a=issues&i=19544). This is an entirely reasonable and good fix, but it happens to break this mod. Here's how to unbreak it:
1. Open the unofficial patch ESP file in xEdit. 2. Type CEDFD into the FormID box, and press Enter. 3. The item at the bottom of the list in the left pane should be labeled "000CEDFD ThrowVoiceLine". Click it. 4. At the top of the right pane, right click the unofficial patch column header and click "jump to." 5. The item at the bottom of the left pane should look just the same as in step #3. Click the plus to expand it. 6. There should be a single item under it marked "xx500D62 Hey!". Right click and copy it as an override into a new ESP (or into your existing "misc. fixes" ESP if you already have one). Give the ESP any name you like. 7. Right click the empty space in the conditions row, under your new esp's column, and click "add." 8. Scroll all the way down. "Type" should be "Equal to", leave it alone. Set "Function" to "GetIsVoiceType," set "Voice Type" to "13AEE" (which means the male argonian voice type) and I'm not sure whether this is necessary, but for consistency I also set parameter #3 to -1. "Comparison value" should already be zero and "Type" should already be "Is equal to," so don't touch those. 9. Exit, say yes when xEdit prompts you to save, and make sure your new ESP is loaded below USLEEP (LOOT should be smart enough to do this automatically, or you can make a custom rule. Usually, manual fixup ESPs go at the very bottom of your load order to ensure your fixes really stay fixed.). 10. If you make a mistake and want to start over, don't panic, just close xEdit and uncheck the ESP when it prompts you to save. 11. If this method destroys your save or eats your children, restore from the backup that you definitely made before starting this process.
I would like to see this available for SSE as well. However, for personal use, it is possible to convert to SSE. You'd need to download and run the new Creation Kit 2.0, and something to open the .bsa with, such as BSA Unpacker. If you're willing to do that then... 1. Unpack the .bsa 2. Make a new folder called "DATA" and put the unpacked "Sound" folder inside Data. Put this mod's .esp file in there as well. 3. Use 7zip to zip up that Data folder 4. Use NMM or MO2 to install 5. Open the Creation Kit 2.0 and set this mod as active, with Skyrim.esm ticked. 6. Save the mod and close the CK. 7. Take the "new" .esp and put it inside your Data folder and overwrite the original .esp. 8. Pack up your Data folder again, but this time with just the new .esp, and the sound folder (this won't change). 9. Uninstall the first file you installed in step #4 10 Install your new file, activate and play Hopefully Stardusk will get around to making us a port soon. :)
Truly satisfying! I didn't enjoy playing as an Argonian before, and never got far before starting over. This mod actually made a big difference, and it's awesome. Mods like this keep Skyrim fresh and new.
A very delightful on the ears mod, powerful and beasty sounding! I hope you keep using your voice for great Argonian things, I think it's perfect fit. I see included taunts mentioned lower in the comments, but I haven't encountered those in-game yet. Panting and combat grunts to match would make this even greater, I think. Anyways thank you.
I just recently started playing Skyrim and it was a big drawback when I found this issue with one of my favorite races to play ever since Morrowind. That and the gasping for air and human breathing when sprinting with I could luckily find other people who were anoyed about them as well and managed to make mods to silence those. Thank you for saving my Argonian gameplay.
Nice mod, the only one in its kind i guess. You could make it even better, adding more tone to the shout, as the shouts sounds a bit too relaxed (you are supposed to use them in combat). Add more force to your voice! Feel the rage and power of the Dragonborn, don't smoke and record some epicness next time!
I love it but its too loud compare to the rest of the game I have to lower the sound before shouting each time. and there is no way to lower the volume. too bad D:

I hope this includes Dragonborn and Dawnguard shouts as well?
