This mod is exactly what I needed form my priest of Arkay playthrough. Thank you!

Oh and it works perfectly in SE, no conversion needed!

EDIT: Well, not perfectly. I'm having the same issue as kiresagara said in the comments below, where the bodies respawn . Tough luck.

I have a problem with bodies respawning a day after they are turned into ash. The ash pile is still there and their body is laying on top of it.

This is probably a game engine bug related to ash piles but I can't find any information. Nobody else seems to have had the same problems.

    Hello Mr Whim

This mod is pretty much a necessity for anyone playing a character who lays the dead back to rest. It seems to work perfectly in my testing and is bloat free.

SKSE64 for SSE has been out for a while and I have already ported it over to SSE. The SSE mod that does this is bloated and I won't us it. It is a simple port and would be best if you did it. I am not sure why you have an ITM for the Reanimate spell. I will send it to you if you ask with no need to credit.

Only problem with this mod is that it Literally reduces them to ashes as in spawns an actual ash pile... Ash piles are just as bad as corpses when your trying to keep an area somewhat clean and hang around for a rather long time could add a method to remove the ash piles as well (or just provide a MCM option to not create ash piles.) In my opinion turning corpses to ash defeats the purpose of a corpse removal spell XD

just select the ash pile in the console and type 'disable' since the ash pile is just an object really...

The tinkling sound when you have it equipped but aren't casting it is a bit loud and distracting.

Just wondering about converting this so I can use it in Skyrim Special Edition (for personal use of course), but I thought I'd ask if you're thinking of doing it yourself first (and therefore saving me the bother )

Reading one of the books added by Dragonborn (I believe it was called "The Axeman") gave me a similar idea:
Fitting to your chosen combat style (stealth, magic, combat) there should be three ways of disposing of bodies:
As for mages, this mods presents the solution: Incrementation by magicka.
A more brute-force-orientated warrior might hack the body to peaces (like described in the aforementioned book), and those accomplised in the arts of poisons could deploy strong acid, leaving behind nothing but a puddle of oil (heh, remember Jesse´s attempt at dissolving corpses? )
Sadly, I lack the required abilities in scripting.

nevermind, found the Clean up your Corpses mod doing exactly that.
Yours, MrWhim, still is a very nice alternative if one only needs to get rid of corpses in an immersive way, without all the other scripting.
