I'd wager that 99% of all so called "bug report" are always due to the script latency and to too many scripts causing stack dumps. Believe it or not, DA is not heavy on your system. However, it needs that your system be responsive when it kicks in and lots of calculation need to be done. If you have a million other thing registered for update every 0.1 sec behind the scene, this takes resources away from where they are needed at this time. This affects any scripted mod and it is completely unreproducible (though might occur again and again on your system).

Concerning reproducibility: DA has hundreds of different settings and many modes of operation. There is also many tools to help determine the current state under the utility tab of the menu. All these are important to determine what is going on and simply asking for help without offering precision will be treated as trolling and dispatched accordingly (i.e. ignored by me or deleted). And even so, there is a good chance it will because we don't agree on what precision means.

The bottom line is that I don't have the patience to answer individually to boring questions that have been answered a hundred times already.

I'd also wager that 99% of CtD are due to load error that are caused by too many big textures and too many new hi-rez items. Almost never are crashes caused by scripting error. Believe it or not, papyrus can handle quite a lot of beating (which can be seen from some mods in the papryus log), yet, this doesn' cause the game to crash. Sure, too much might increase latency which can cause instability, but the surest CtD cause is memory allocation errors. Most of the CtD that appear to be solved by removing a random, unrelated, mod are not caused by that mod, they are a "too much is too much" effect. Incidentally, memory load error often occur when stuff is loading, which is what happens when you are defeated and a scenario starts. Yet, it is not an error by any of the maker of these mods. It is your business to decide when too many is too many. As much as I hate when people blame DA for this and that, I also hate when they end up blaming another, perfectly working, mod because it "solved" their problem. The problem is most likely a group effect which no single mod is responsible for.
Also, remember that DA is a framework that runs code from other mods (the triggers) so make sure you've identified the source of the problem before posting here. Make sure plugin are registered correctly and/or uninstalled properly depending on the case and that you have run the manual registration after changing any relevant mods. Try deactivating certain triggers if one may be problematic.

Hello, I started a new game, set everything up from the beginning and do some tests to check if its ready for a playthrough. I used DA before and it worked pretty fine, now I have a strange issue: The screen does not fade to black anymore if DA event triggers. The event itself seems to work, its just that the black screen is missing. In my previous game, I did not use ENB. Could ENB have something to do with this since it also seems to effect Predator sight and similar effects?

Some ENBs prevent any imagespace modifier (e.g. the black screen) from appearing as intended. Always have. I'm pretty sure I wrote about it many times and in the description.

I want to ask - How could i make it compatible with Alternate Actors?
When i entering bleedout i just dying - it is started to happen right after AA instalation.
Desc says, that this two mods are compatible.
    P.S. AA below DA

In fact, it says that alternate actors is presumably INcompatible (based on such report and it seems to make sense given what it tries to do). I don't know why exactly though, I've never tested it nor looked at their code.

I currently have a problem interfering with my game, and I can't identify the source. DAYMOYL is a possibility, but I don't have enough information yet.

I am running a very mod and script heavy game. I sometimes CTD when going into bleedout, but that's not my issue.

My problem is healing. Too much of it, actually.

I'm running Requiem, so my base heal rate should be zero. At game start this was the case. As this was Requiem + LAL (LADL actually), my first DAYMOYL trigger came up rather quickly. So far, by level 3, I've been knocked out a couple of times, with a couple of post bleed-out escapes, and a couple of black-outs waking up in the wilderness (no radiant quests have triggered yet).

I notice that on recovering from bleed-out, my health bar regenerates partly or fully. I assume that this is DAYMOYL doing it's thing and giving me some breathing room. However, now I am long past recovery, and yet I still regenerate damage. I can't even find the source of my regeneration:

All DAYMOYL effects have worn off, as best I can tell.

In the console my player.healrate is 0.2 and player.healratemult is 0.0, which is what they should be per Requiem. There are no active effects on me, open or hidden, that should cause healing. There are no invisible items equipped. I'm not under the effects of any spells or items. As far as I can tell, I should not be healing.

Yet if I ingest some poison, as soon as it wears off I heal right back up to full, and fairly quickly.

I suspect (by elimination) that there might be a rogue script running on me, but with so many mods I don't even know how to find it. I only suspect DAYMOYL might be involved because of the post-bleedout heal I mentioned above, which seems to be when my issue started.

Any guesses? I'll provide my load order or any logs I can if you think that will help.

There is a fixed heal (actually it's more like setting the health value to a certain percentage i.e. it is not a magic effect) in DA. However, it is applied only for OnHit or update events during (and at the end of) the actual DA bleedout state to use the real HP bar as a damage buffer. If the state of the monitor in DA's menu (utility tab, diagnotic section) is empty then it is impossible that it is this that is healing you. If the state is not empty and your not in bleedout, then I don't know how you got there -- seems totally impossible to me and it should fix itself on reload even if it was possible.

My guess is you have something else that heal you OnHit. There are a lot of spells out there that do that.

All three boxes are checked in the diagnostic section, including the monitor. This is the same in an old save where the "bug" is not present.

I've scrolled through the 57 "spells" and 108 "active effects" attached to my character in the console, but nothing looks suspicious. It also looks like cryptic raw code, so I might be staring at the culprit and not realize it.

Thanks for the advice. For now, I found a save not too far back to revert to. I suspect it will only be a matter of time before this happens again, but I'll try to keep my eyes open to spot when it's getting triggered.

Update: I think I found it. As you already knew, DAYMOYL appears innocent. The regeneration effect shows up when I acquire the "accustomed slave" perk from Deviously Helpless (or its Requiem patch) -- I'll ask around there.

      Thanks again for your insight.

Update #2: Confirmed, a known bug in a Deviously Helpless perk, nothing to do with DA.

I can't get the mod to activate.

When I load up my save there is no mcm menu for DA and the mod doesn't trigger, i just die. I do have quite a few mods installed but nothing that should be conflicting with DA.

Any ideas as to what's wrong? Do I have too many mods installed maybe?

I'm having an issue when attempting to serve my jail time

The bleedout and waking up in the jail works ( tested with Whiterun and Solitude) but when I go to sleep to serve the time, the game loads up outside the jail, it doesn't CTD but the game freezes and i have to force close it

I also tested escaping the Whiterun jail via the tunnels, and for some reason escaping the jail works fine, but every time i try to serve the time it just crashes. ( Both whiterun and solitude crash so its not specific to the city )

I'm fairly sure its not a matter of memory allocation, as i've been able to enter/exit the same door and had no crashes.
Its only when i serve my jail time that the game freezes up, is there some script function thats different between going on the run and serving the time?

Why do you think it has to do with DA at all? DA processes have long since finished executing once you're up in the jail cell. The only thing DA does in this instance is request that the player be sent to jail the same way that would have happened if you had surrendered.

I'll take that as a good sign, I really wanted to use this mod

Time to look elsewhere then. though I really can't fathom what mod is effecting the transition out of jail this badly

Some time back I mentioned having some CTD issues when going into bleedout. I'm not quite sure what solved them - it may be that something was wrong with my SKSE installation - but they eventually disappeared, and I've been able to start and a nice, stable game and play through to level 13.

From time to time, I do run into a different problem: Maybe every third time I'm going through a dungeon, go into bleedout and then reanimate (Vilja and Inigo keep the party going just fine! ), I get stuck in what seems to be a t-pose. I have a weapon in my on-hand, a spell in my off-hand, but can't use either, nor can I sheath the my weapon. I CAN move around and I can also shout. If I simply turn tail, run and wait long enough, I can eventually regain control, but it's usually more practical to revert to an earlier save.

Do you guys have any insight on this?

I have S.T.E.P Skyrim's animation mods installed - could they be doing something? (BTW, I don't have FINIS - I know a uninstalling FINIS can cause a t-pose problem. This isn't that.)

I was having the CTD on entering the bleedout state issue like a few others i have seen. Xinamon mentioned installing a previous version might help, can i get a second opinion on that? It saddens me to uninstall this mod...

-Make sure you don't have an addon that has problem. There is a growing number of mods that add content to DA and I haven't tested them all. DA runs their code and, even though it is hard to make the game crash with papyrus, it is not impossible. Most CtD are related to memory allocation. Read the post above for details.
-Make sure that registered plugins are... registered. Run the manual registration before and after installing or uninstalling if you run in manual mode. Manual mode performs less checks when the game start, and there is usually a papyrus spike on load since many mods do their consistency check there, so DA is very gentle there and helps reduce the load.
-Make sure the problem is really DA. I have never encountered a CtD directly caused by DA (that's not quite true, I did once in an alpha version: this was an issue with a vanilla papyrus function which resulted in CtD. The problem was reproducible and easily fixed). DA is extremely safe modding and doesn't change any vanilla scripts, which make direct incompatibility extremely unlikely. However, there are always many mods running and many things trigger in combat and many scripts might listen to the event that DA listens to, so even a seemingly reproducible issue might not be so directly attributable. It is easy to attribute blame to a mod but without reproducibility and in-depth investigation, this is all it is: fault-finding and putting blame. This serves no one.
-Ultimately I don't care what you do. There is such a thing as too many scripted mods. If you want to uninstall DA, that's your decision. There is no second opinion.

Thanks, i think perhaps it was the Captured addon, ill try it without. Sorry, I didn't mean to place the blame on your mod, i have many other mods running and am not super experienced when it comes down to it. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Awesome mod, a problem: when i enter bleedout the eyes of my character close and he won't open them up again. I just did a clean install of Skyrim and I have only like 25 mods, most of them graphicals, so I don't think it's a conflict... Are you aware of this? Any help?

I'm having a problem when i go to the loading screen everything works but when i get out the og the loading screen the screen is black as its ment to. But the game stops responding and all i can do is close it with the joblist.

This seems to be happening in bandit scenarios but i think also necromancer too. Haven't tested them all.

btw i have like 150-200 other mods.

    I have installed:
Death Alternative - Your Money or Your Life
    Death Alternative - Captured
Death Alternative - Alternate Start Addon

UPDATE: I tried on a new save (just copied the profile in MO) with the exact same mods and generated files. I went to the same place as i was testing on with the first save. But everything was fine and it worked no problems. So might be too many scripts running, as you have written in the description.

Can i fix this with a tool of some sort?

    In response to post #24015719.

Both log are perfectly normal as far as DA processing is concerned. You seem to say this is circumstantial: as it occurs in some places but not other?

Yes. For me, so far this issue has only occurred when my character defeated and sent to Whiterun prison.  In this post, raszcal says it also happens when captured by the Thalmor, but I have not tested that scenario yet.

So do you think this is due to some problem with the vanilla game in certain locations?  I guess I'll just have to use "Bleedout and Ragdoll" for the time being.

Mmm... I think I didn't reply to who I intended to. Look at the few previous posts.
