Constructive criticism: The symbol is not lore friendly, and it would be nicer without it as the main file. The inverted placement blatantly evokes the Nazi use of the symbol rather than the traditional Hindu version which is placed at a right angle, and having seen this as a growing trend on the seedier modding sites for all games, I can't help but assume that this is more of the same neo nazi cyber culture. Whatever way you look at it, your file would be better without the Swastika.
I really like the look of the armour and am downloading it now. The file choices are a little confusing, and it would be nice to have a clear as crystal 'This is the armour without swastikas'. I'm also going to have to manually remove the necklace from the game, for personal reasons. An option without it would be nice.
Other than the obligatory 'I don't like the nazis' spiel, very nice work on the retextures. Going on images alone so won't be endorsing, and I doubt I ever will whilst the main file keeps the symbols. I think the file would receive more support without them, as it's really nice armour.
It's fairly clear, but as this is the optional file it's pretty self evident that there's a demand for a nice and simple 'no swastika' version that you can just download as one of the main files.
"Constructive criticism: The symbol is not lore friendly" So much wrong. Please, before to try to look like clever and interesting, check your own message before. This symbol is one of the MANY runs which are used since the first civilizations. If I remember, it's supposed to give power to the one who wear it. It was especially used (beyond other situations) during the roman wars. Hey ! Look ! Imperials against some Nordic rebels ? Look strangely like the german wars from our own world ! Woohoo ! So the symbol is logical and lorefriendly ? Waaah... Even if the half of what I just said is based on my memory and could be debated, please... Next time, don't say false things. This symbol IS lorefriendly. And if you really dislike it, there is a really simple way to react : do not download it. Full point.
@Ceipher: Just FYI, Nazi was NOT the only one who used the inverted-swastika. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:IndusValleySeals_swastikas.JPG
It's been around for ages. And please, please, pretty please, since you all got internet in hand, please check -at least- Wikipedia before claiming this "inverted swastika = nazi" stuff.
That being said, I agree that swastika doesn't seem to be lore friendly since I haven't seen it anywhere in Elder Scrolls series.
Ceipher, the "swastika" was also one of the symbols of the runic alphabet used by the Nordic nations that the games lore is based on so it is entirely appropriate and lore friendly. It also appeared in the script or symbology of all early civilizations including Celt, Mayan, Inca, Roman, Greek, Mongol, Chinese (you getting the picture yet?) in various incarnations long before it was hijacked by the National Socialist German Workers' Party and became viewed as an icon of Fascism. It never ceases to amaze me that there are still so many ignorant and uneducated people on this planet today.
It doesn't matter what it was, it matters what it is now. It's a fascist Nazi symbol now so you people might as well suck it up and accept the fact that your precious Hindu or whatever symbol has gone to the shitter.
The stupidity of this (bradym12345's) comment is mind-boggling but then no point trying to argue with closed mind people, they are always right anyway.
@skepticck What's so closed minded about his comment? Show any form of a swastika to anyone and they won't say "oh it's from Hinduism" they'd identify it with the Nazis because that's who it has become known for. I don't know why you're getting so offended.
Yes it is unfortunate that a symbol of peace was hijacked by those monsters but there's nothing that can be done about it now.
If you still think otherwise, perhaps you should wear a swastika in public and see what type of comments you get. No one is going to care if it's inverted, they're just going to think "Hitler" or "Nazi" because that's who was using it back in the 20th century.
Same thing with how the inverted cross was actually the symbol of Saint Peter but got hijacked by Satanists to represent the devil. If you wear an upside down crucifix, no one is going to think "oh that guy is respecting Saint Peter who was crucified upside down" they're going to think "Satanist."
I fully agree with WitheredWolf. This symbol has to be made optional, even though it was used different in older parts of our history. Don't risk that this wonderful mod is getting removed and more consequences I don't event want to begin to think of.
I found a chainmail texture that worked very well with this! It's not on the Nexus, but I can send it to you if you are still intending to make a chainmail appearance.
THANK YOU!!!!!! I had downloaded Nanako and wanted her outfit but couldn't improve it :*( I finally went back to the page to update her and apparently missed the part where it was mention where the outfit came from. Now that I've found it I'm happy! *note to self....read description fully next time* ><
Hi, lovely work! Could I request something? Is it possible to make a retexture where the jersey would look like CHAIN MAIL.? For me that would make the armor make more sense, and be more love friendly.
If I knew how to use a texture application I would try myself, but I am no good!
What files do I need to get rid of if I DONT want the heavy (Steel cat.) to appear? This is a light armor, and while I love the recolors, I would like to not have the heavys in there.?
any chance you might add BBP support for this armor set? i've loved this armor set since the original first came out but lately i've been only using armors with BBP support (even though i never make them big) it just feels like it adds weight to my character >w<
Like the armor and love the color variants you provided. My only problem is that the recolored armors are weaker than the original. I do not know if this is intentional but I was hoping to keep this armor well into the later levels and these recolored versions will not allow that.

Meaning when you downloaded V1.0 and dont want the symbol you download Optionals V1.0a and manually place that over it.
Sorry I can't be more clear.
Ofcourse you are free to edit your mods as you want.
