I've tried other scar mods, and I keep coming back to this one. When I make a character with a scar, and I want it to look like the end result of a hard fight. Something that's a daily reminder of that character's brush with death. That's exactly what this mod achieves.
Psshh... In real life, I love scars! Now, if it's something that looks disgusting, then no... But I have a scar beneath my right eye in a crescent shape fitting around my eye (awesome huh) and I love it, it can be a conversation starter sometimes, and I have a reason to use right eye scars in games like Skyrim!
Just gotta pop in here and say I've been using this mod for months now - it's beautiful! I consider it one of my (very few) truly essential mods. Really makes Skyrim look like the brutal place it is, with scars (really, wounds) like this being very representative of the scale of the violence of the Civil War, not to mention everything else going on.
This is my personal favorite scar mod. There are others that aim to give a more "realistic" look to scars in Skyrim that makes them faint and near-unnoticeable on anything but a close-up screenshot, but personally, if I'm going to put a scar on my character I want it to look bold, bloody, and scream, "If this is what I look like, you should see the other guy!"
I don´t know if I want to call this horrible or fantastic. Some scars are too red no matter which version I choose and the others are perfect. I like it. But the reaction when I started the game was like this: Holy crap what happened?! It looked like my character had faceplanted the ground twice.

Also how does this work when it doesn't replace the vanilla ones exactly, but creates a new folder?
Highly endorsed. Can't play Skyrim without it.
Endorsed and highly recommended.

This is a one of a kind mod. Great job!
But not what I am looking for I´m afraid.
