Dark One said that NMM is end of line now.. great!! I am using it now and it is looking for mods that are associated with FO4 when I load Oldrim into it... pffffff
I'm assuming you're using trying to apply the icon in Windows and not a dock application such as Object Dock or Rocket Dock. Unfortunately Windows really suck when it comes to formats. For icons you need a .ico format. You can use a lot of free app on the web to convert png to ico or use something like photoshop if you have it.
They look great and I can't wait to try them. Unfortunately my computer does not recognize the files as icons. I have a windows 7 and used 7-zip to unpack the file. Any ideas on why this could be?

The images are .png but every time it try and chance the icon I am told that the file contains no icons.
Once unpacked, all the images should be in the icon format (.png) after which you only need to assign the one you want to the Nexus Mod Manager.
What format are the files for you ?
