Same missing textures too. I'll check if they're there without the mod.
Edit: the textures are missing even without the mod, So it's a developer issue <.< never noticed it before because the missing texture is quite small and doesn't appear on male version (very very small)
I have the same missing textures. I use just the armor - not the gauntlets and this armor w/ Steel Plate gauntlets looks less Japanese and more medieval. However, there's a huge gape of missing textures which bug the crap out of me. I keep looking for gauntlet retextures to fix it but nada.
@allgoodalex I think you can upgrade almost any upgradable pieces to legendary state, you only need to have 100 smithing (+perks) and several echanted items with smithing bonus.
the whole point of those cracks in the armour is to show it's age, since it's probably been sitting in that same spot for 200+years unused. I like that personally but this looks good as well for those who want the like-new look.

Is it possible that I broke the armor, because I used "setscale 0.8" on my player ?
